Pony Express RV Resort, North Salt Lake, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A real find. Right off freeway but no noise. Concrete sites, lawn, tables. All amenities. Great walking trail adjacent to park that goes along river. Helpful staff. This is now our "go to" RV Park in Salt Lake area. Could not be nicer or better value. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Truck Camper.

Durango Riverside Resort & RV Park, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Good: right on river. Out of town and quiet. Bad: Uneven sites, hard to level. Upon check-in lady was extremely nice and helpful. Next day had an issue with ants and different lady behind counter could care less. Speaking of ants: all over the place. A real problem and when I inquired if they sold ant spray she did not know. No help there. Did some laundry and half the machines are out of service. Unhelpful lady at front counter did not have change (the change machine in laundry was out of coins). Too many other good choices in the area. We will not return. We camped at Durango Riverside Resort & RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Mountain View RV Park, Arco, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 5 nights 2 weeks ago. On main highway, fairly tight for 40' motor home but doable. Real problem is the overhanging tree branches. Cannot go thru park without branches dragging along side or roof. Park really needs to trim things up a bit. WiFi very good, looks like a good cafe on site. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Springville/Provo KOA , Springville, Utah

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great staff. Great new WiFi. Clean grounds and right off the fwy but no real noise.

Downside: Spots are so close together that if you are next to another RV opening the slides is iffy. Obviously an older park where slides were not an issue. They need to remodel and make room for the larger RV's of today with slides. Especially at the price they are getting. We camped at Springville/Provo KOA in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Have no idea how this place could be rated higher than below average. Dusty all over, hookups at the rear of the site, terribly tight getting in/out of site. I had to get my neighbor next door to pull in his awning in order to get out. Old place that has very poor upkeep. Dust all over everything. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gettysburg / Battlefield KOA, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 6 nights. Very tight to get in and out. Small country roads in and out but passable. I have a 40' Class A and it was very tough into and out of the site. Nice trees all around and would be great for kids with pool, etc. We camped at Gettysburg / Battlefield KOA in a Motorhome.

Mayberry Campground, Mount Airy, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great staff and clean grounds. I had a good pull through site. One thing that really bothers me about this park is they advertise WiFi but it is useless. Down 80% of the time and when it is up it is worse than the old dial up. Staff repeatedly blamed it on the weather but other reviewers noted same issue. We camped at Mayberry Campground in a Motorhome.

Oceanside Elks Lodge #1561, Oceanside, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Elks only. Park has gotten rundown and not very clean. Many year-round people staying here and the junk around these RVs is very apparent. 30 amp power is marginal, I read 110v many times when the EMS would kick off. Not worth it even at the $23.00 price. We camped at Oceanside Elks Lodge #1561 in a Motorhome.

Voyager Resort & RV Park (55+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a section that with the slides out could reach out and touch our neighbors. Very bad value where we stayed. There are spots/areas however that are wider and not as close together. Huge park, little city actually. Clean and staff helpful. No wifi, which is a deal breaker for us anymore. There is wifi if you go to an area in the park that is hot. For the size and price, should have wifi. We camped at Voyager Resort & RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Islander RV Resort, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 5 nights. Immaculate and staff very helpful. Got a spot with partial lake view, very nice. Noise not an issue for us, very quiet. Maybe in the summer would be different. Beats the heck out of others in the area. Everything clean and no junkers in this park. We camped at Islander RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Escondido RV Resort, Escondido, California

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This place just is not worth it anymore. Third time we have stayed here and will not be back. Very high fees, our price was monthly. Have to pay for wifi, this is ridiculous in high end parks. Staff wanted to charge me for notifying me when a package arrived. Wanted me to pay for "mail service." Seems that new people have taken over and the parent company is trying to nickle and dime every fee possible. Park is centrally located but that is not enough any longer. Staff this year compared to last year is very different, last year friendly and helpful. Now, just the opposite. Will not return. We camped at Escondido RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Good: clean, large sites, good staff. Bad: for this price, a decent WiFi is a must. This CG has one that is worse than poor. Excuse by staff is that there are too many sites and too expensive to upgrade. The Tengo system is bad wherever it is located. The one here is terrible. If not for this, I would give the CG a higher rating We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

New Frontier RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Just a 10 all around. Passport rate of 19/night for 2 nights then 32 for an additional night. Clean. Brand new and super clean. Paved roads and easy in/out for any size. Great wifi. Right off the freeway but no noise. Beats anything else in the area. We camped at New Frontier RV Park in a Motorhome.
