Lafayette KOA, Scott, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We made our reservation on the internet. We were told no pull thrus were available on the date we requested. However, when we arrived, towing a car the staff asked if we wanted a pull thru and found us a site. The campground was very nice, lots of trees and pleasant staff. Would stay here again if the opportunity presented itself. Rates are higher if you want cable, Wi-Fi, etc. Different rates for various sites. I would not make the reservation on line, I would call. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Motorhome.

Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park), Shreveport, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This was an excellent campground. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The pull-thrus do not have much shade, but are level, with a concrete patio with table and chairs. We stayed here going and coming as a one nighter both ways. Would stay here again. If I were going to Shreveport for a few days this is the park I would choose. Easy access from the interstate, and still far enough away there is no traffic noise. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Hideaway Ponds Recreational Resort, Gibson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

There were pull-thrus available, but we were told they were only for members. It had rained prior to our arrival, and it was muddy. The first spot we were given was extremely muddy, and we were afraid we would stick the RV. We were ready to move on, but they found another site which was much better. We stayed four days and the campground was about half full. We could have had a much nicer site, and I still do not understand their policies on assigning sites. The park was mostly for members, and very few RV's were there that were not semi-permanent. Their facilities were very nice and clean. All of the sites were grass, and somewhat level. Probably would not stay there again if I had another option. While we were there we discovered there were several other RV parks in the near vicinity. We camped at Hideaway Ponds Recreational Resort in a Motorhome.
