Park at the River, Joseph, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have many of the observations of prior reviews, except we found the wifi to be excellent (in site 45), no unusual canine presence and no unusual numbers of kiddies around. Our experience with their cable TV was that most channels had very distracting interference so we set up our Dish Tailgater sat system. It worked well with a small slot between the trees. Our Verizon worked fairly well with the "extended network". The sites are not identical. Take a look at their campground map in advance. Bottom line, this is a good, if not perfect RV park with an outstanding staff. We camped at Park at the River in a Travel Trailer.

Hidden Hacienda, Wickenburg, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We liked this "park" but it is not for everybody. It is actually a horse camp/team roping center with spaces for a few RVs. It is about 5 mi North of Wickenburg and a mile or so off the highway. No signs on the highway and a somewhat dangerous turn in at night. The lady running the park was very pleasant and helpful. It is the desert so expect some dirt. No wifi, we used our sat tv. Verizon phones worked fine. We camped at Hidden Hacienda in a Travel Trailer.

The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton, California

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Other reviewers have provided comments that I can second regarding side by side hooks, narrowness of sites, etc. Visually the "park" is a mess. They clearly do not enforce their 21 day max stay rule and many sites show "untidy" sites (and that is generous). The office staff was pleasant. It was quiet at night. I could only receive emails (not send) on their internet and have never encountered that before. Would we return, yes, reluctantly since it's the only game in town! We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Winchester Bay RV Resort, Winchester Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Reviews by other are right on. Not a 10 from because we prefer more of a campground that RV Park atmosphere. Having said that, the waterfront site views are terrific. Our rate was for a long interior pull through. Best cable TV and wifi we've encountered, anywhere. Our satellite TV and Verizon phone worked perfectly as well. We camped at Winchester Bay RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Other recent reviews are right on. Lots of grass, fairly level sites, trees at some sites. Good Verizon cell and sat TV. A few sites have Columbia River views (#11, 13, 15 I think). We camped at Wenatchee Confluence State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pioneer Trails RV Resort , Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We asked for a site where we could get Sat TV, and got it. Long, wide and level. There are many nice and cozy sites here with trees, shade, etc. Probably a site for whatever your likes are. We've been here before and will be back if in the area again. Can hear the planes from Whidby Island Naval Air Station. We camped at Pioneer Trails RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Deception Pass State Park, Oak Harbor, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Lots and lots of trees! Almost no sky to be seen anywhere! We had a pull through site in the Quarry Pond area. Our site was nice, for a hot day. Our weather was cold and rainy, so we did not stay overnight! Very dreary. No Verizon cell service, no access for sat TV, no antenna TV. Navigating the roads on the other side of the park is very tricky for anything longer than 26 ft or so. We are 30 ft and only had a few inches to spare between us and some mighty big tree trunks. We won't go back. We camped at Deception Pass State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bridal Falls Camperland RV Resort, Rosedale, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I'm not sure about the rate I show. We stayed only one night. We were up the hill and Hwy 1 noise was minimal. Big, wide, level site, clear shot for sat TV. No Verizon cell phone service. We did not use their Tengo pay to use wifi. Free wifi was available, they say, in the office area. We would return. We camped at Bridal Falls Camperland RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Park at the River, Joseph, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice campground. All spaces are different, most seem to have a fair amount of space between sites, all grass sites, big trees throughout othe campground. The Wallowa River runs along the lower level of the campground. Full hookups on the upper level with fair cable TV, wifi was spotty. I suspect sites further away from the antenna location would not have adequate service. We were able to find a spot though the trees so our Dish satellite would work. We camped at Park at the River in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Adjacent Lake Wallowa is beautiful and has good trout fishing (I was told). On a clear day, a trip up the tramway is well worthwhile. The town of Joseph has beautiful street displays of large bronze statues and the local foundrys are open for tours, and purchases :-).

Big Mountain Campground, Nephi, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful rural setting, gravel sites with good size grass "patio". Mats not allowed. Very quiet. Only 3 other rigs here at this time of year. Lots of trees but we got our satellite to work. No Verizon phone service. Wifi was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. We camped at Big Mountain Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Kaibab CampeRVillage, Jacob Lake, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We seem to have liked Kaibab Camper Village more than others. It is certainly woodsy, and much more of a "campground" than an "RV Park". In our site, 93, we had excellent sat. TV reception. Our VZ phone and hot spot worked perfectly. Our site would have been a little tight except that there were no rigs on either side. Got lucky. We had no power issues, but we have a Surge Guard. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Travel Trailer.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with previous observations. Cable TV was included in the $30 and it was very good. Wifi good, but slow during peak usage periods. Quiet at night but still quick access to I-40. Certainly not scenic but very practical for an overnight stay. Sites are "side by side" with shared utilities. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

South Llano River RV Park & Resort, Junction, Texas

Overall Rating:

Long, level gravel pull through sites. Some have large trees for shade. Close to I-10 but quiet. Wifi pretty good, TV very good. Our satellite worked well. Nothing fancy but very acceptable for a nite or two. The Guadalupe River is immediately adjacent, and accessible, to the park. We camped at South Llano River RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Deer Crossing RV Park, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I have not problem with a 10 for this RV park. My 9 is based on those that might want cable or antenna TV which is absent here. Our Dish satellite worked fine. Their wifi was excellent. This is a small park (15 sites) so reserve early. It is about 24 miles from Ruidoso. We highly recommend this park. The staff (owner?) were especially helpful.
