My rating reflects our opinion that the campground has little charm or personality. It is an excellent "RV Park", but not what we call a "campground". The sites are very long, and reasonably spaced from each other. The sites all face the same direction (NE) thus no afternoon shade on the curbside of the rig. Trees are few and far between and located where they could seldom provide any shade. And thus our satellite TV worked fine. The local cable TV was excellent. The man that checked us in was very helpful. The laundry was excellent. And the campground wifi was as good as it gets!! The later being a rather rare event amongst the campgrounds we visit. Our Verizon phones worked fine. They have a few sites along the river site but they were $59 per night, and the river, perhaps 40 feet behind the sites, would not be visible from the site.

I am very, very stingy with my 10s! For us, this campground had it all. We stayed directly on the waterfront (site 66). Our gravel pad was level, the view of the lake was unrestricted, there was plenty of space between sites, our Tailgater had perfect access to its satellites, the staff was outstanding. As an example, we had a neighbor with a yapping dog, we mentioned it to the office and they had a man out in about 2 minutes talking to the campers. The problem was fixed. Access to Guntersville was easy and we found the short access road from the highway to the campground to be benign.

Date of Stay:

Our site (52) had very little "patio" area and that looked right at our neighbor's hookups. All sites rough gravel, fairly level. Pretty good cable, wifi was slow and only worked on our first day.

Price reflects a $10 senior discount. Our first impression was not good. A 9 mile long, bumpy paved road to get here, and pretty dreary campground since the trees had not yet leafed out, and severe thunderstorms were in the forecast. After the pleasant staff relocated us to a waterfront site and we got settled, our opinions improved. On a nice day (ours was not) and with some leaves on the trees, this would be a very beautiful park! Full hookups, electric and sewer in the far rear, water in front.

Would have given this a 10 if we had a waterfront site. But there are none. Site 42 is a long, level pull thru, with the curbside adjacent to a wood deck with the woods right behind that. Very private! A surprise was a surprisingly good free wifi.

I agree with prior reviews. Lots of trees but our satellite worked fine. Our Verizon phone on hot spot were fine. And the big surprise in a world of iffy wifi, was that the campground wifi was excellent, at least at site 66. Next time we will try for 65 to get a little more afternoon shade.

We stayed here two nights. Site was clean, level, easy to get into but not much room for outside chairs. We were literally on the top of the hill where there is good grass cover on most sites. A lot of the sites on top have more room than our site. We were not able to connect to their wifi but we had excellent sat TV. There is some noise from the I-10 but it was not bad for us. We will return to this RV park.

Date of Stay:

If in the Eureka area, we would stay here again at the Passport America rate. The sites are gravel with a bit of grass, all easy back-ins. Traffic noise is minimal. Good location for Eureka city activities. Pleasant and efficient campground host. Wifi was excellent, Verizon phones worked fine, with antenna TV we got PBS, major networks except NBC, plus a few others. Don't think our sat TV would have worked because of close trees (big) to the south.

We love this campground! And not fancy. And like the small community of Florence. Lots of waterfront restaurants within a short walk of the campground. Several sites with back ins right up to the waterfront. Great WiFi and cable TV. Adequate space between sites.

Other reviews point out the features well. Clean, efficient check in, sites a bit narrow. Just fine for a day or two. As advertised this is certainly an RV park and not a campground. Cable TV and WiFi - both excellent.

We have stayed here several times. We will try a different place next year. Cable tv was very noisy. The internet was overly complicated to set up and use.

Rate includes online reservation fee. As others have said, lots of grass, close to the historic Snake River, easy access to/from I-84, but very quiet. The B loop has mature hedges between most of the sites, which provides some modicum of privacy, but not a lot. We could get no antenna TV, our satellite would not connect, Verizon phone had frequent dropouts, Internet via our Verizon hotspot worked but was very slow. I wouldn't call this a "destination" resort but rather a nice place for overnight or so.

Lots of grass, level sites, quiet, good spacing. We were the only ones there, I forgot to get the WiFi password. Verizon was good. Out sat TV worked well. Rate was supposed to be Passport America but I think an error was made. No big deal.

Yes, mature trees and some grass. But the staff put us in a side by side site, doors facing each other. And they were no where near full. Like a tenement. And sewer placement is way in front, check all this if you stay here. On the plus side, good cable, wifi, Verizon signal strong and fairly quiet.

An excellent state park. Lots of waterfront sites (but not the Missouri River). Paved, fairly level sites. Hardly anybody there in mid-week. Quiet but easy access to/from I-29. A few antenna TV stations, and we picked a spot on the south end so our sat TV would work. It did. Verizon cell worked fine. Rate is for electric only.
