I agree with the late 2016 reviews. Some of the earlier complaints may have been due to the severe drought in the Central Valley. But we are here is the middle of a big series of rain storms! Cable TV was good, no HD. Wifi excellent. Easy access from Hwy 99. A bit overpriced. Back in sites are $40, ours was a pull-through. Too wet to try the free golf. :-(

We had this campground chosen for us by friends we camped with. Sites were quite close together. Lots of trees, no cable tv, no satellite, lots of trees, Verizon worked. No open campfires. Campground sits at the western base of a very high cliff and thus gets sun very late in the morning. Campground was quiet. We don't recall exactly what the rate was but it was not inexpensive. We are not positive about the site number we show. We probably would not return just to try another location when we return to the area.

A very nice park with pull throughs, paved pads and grass patios. Not a lot of space between sites, but ok for us. Quiet, peekaboo views of the Columbia (trees along the banks). Verizon and Sat TV worked well. We would have given it a 10 if the sites at been immediately next to the river with unobstructed views. We will go back when in the area again.

This was an unplanned stop for us. We took the last spot, right on the corner of a city busy intersection. This is a very nice, clean RV park, right on the Snake River. The backin site was just big enough for our 32ft trailer. The site was level, and nicely landscaped. But noisy.

This is our second time here and it has been consistently good for us. Our rate is an early season rate for a nice, level adequately sized riverfront spot. Very quiet, the other campers were placed with empty sites between them. Great cable TV and WiFi. Our satellite worked as well. The only "problem" for us is that this campground is about 15 miles from the center of Durango.

We really liked this campground in spite of the nearby tornado warnings. But the restrooms would have provided adequate shelter (probably). There are some really nice waterfront sites, try for those! The sites in the "woods" are fine and did not give us a closed in feeling. The sites are well placed. We were able to get some sat TV channels and our Verizon phone and hot spot were weak, but worked. We would return.

This is a very nice RV park, not a campground. Our site had a very small area for chairs and the fire ring was too close to our trailer. The wifi was excellent and we had good satellite TV. Staff was very pleasant. Close to the activities in Pigeon Forge. Sites were a little short and it was not easy to fit our truck into it after disconnecting.

This is our second stay here. You can't beat its location right on the Tennessee River and very close to all of Florence's amenities. But I disagree with other review about "spacious" sites. Most sites, in our view, are narrow with little room to set up chairs, etc. The back in sites are left side back-ins so your "patio" area is exposed to the passing traffic. But backing in is easier! Nevertheless, we like this campground and the host was very pleasant! No wifi, good satellite TV if located on the western edge of the campground.

My rating reflects our opinion that the campground has little charm or personality. It is an excellent "RV Park", but not what we call a "campground". The sites are very long, and reasonably spaced from each other. The sites all face the same direction (NE) thus no afternoon shade on the curbside of the rig. Trees are few and far between and located where they could seldom provide any shade. And thus our satellite TV worked fine. The local cable TV was excellent. The man that checked us in was very helpful. The laundry was excellent. And the campground wifi was as good as it gets!! The later being a rather rare event amongst the campgrounds we visit. Our Verizon phones worked fine. They have a few sites along the river site but they were $59 per night, and the river, perhaps 40 feet behind the sites, would not be visible from the site.

I am very, very stingy with my 10s! For us, this campground had it all. We stayed directly on the waterfront (site 66). Our gravel pad was level, the view of the lake was unrestricted, there was plenty of space between sites, our Tailgater had perfect access to its satellites, the staff was outstanding. As an example, we had a neighbor with a yapping dog, we mentioned it to the office and they had a man out in about 2 minutes talking to the campers. The problem was fixed. Access to Guntersville was easy and we found the short access road from the highway to the campground to be benign.

Date of Stay:

Our site (52) had very little "patio" area and that looked right at our neighbor's hookups. All sites rough gravel, fairly level. Pretty good cable, wifi was slow and only worked on our first day.

Price reflects a $10 senior discount. Our first impression was not good. A 9 mile long, bumpy paved road to get here, and pretty dreary campground since the trees had not yet leafed out, and severe thunderstorms were in the forecast. After the pleasant staff relocated us to a waterfront site and we got settled, our opinions improved. On a nice day (ours was not) and with some leaves on the trees, this would be a very beautiful park! Full hookups, electric and sewer in the far rear, water in front.

Would have given this a 10 if we had a waterfront site. But there are none. Site 42 is a long, level pull thru, with the curbside adjacent to a wood deck with the woods right behind that. Very private! A surprise was a surprisingly good free wifi.

I agree with prior reviews. Lots of trees but our satellite worked fine. Our Verizon phone on hot spot were fine. And the big surprise in a world of iffy wifi, was that the campground wifi was excellent, at least at site 66. Next time we will try for 65 to get a little more afternoon shade.

We stayed here two nights. Site was clean, level, easy to get into but not much room for outside chairs. We were literally on the top of the hill where there is good grass cover on most sites. A lot of the sites on top have more room than our site. We were not able to connect to their wifi but we had excellent sat TV. There is some noise from the I-10 but it was not bad for us. We will return to this RV park.
