Monterey Fairgrounds, Monterey, California

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Tight to get in and out of is correct. Eyes must be looking five directions. Be watchful of low branches, while maneuvering I kissed a tree branch with the top of my fifth wheel. Thankfully I was going slow and watching. Camp host was friendly and courteous. Agree with posts about some sites not being level. Restrooms were clean and functional. When camping here and you have a longer rig bring extra water/sewer hoses because half of the spaces connect on the door side of unit. Wi-Fi was worthless and not reliable during our visit. Stayed here for three nights. Pleasant stay for a reasonable price. We camped at Monterey Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to stay. Manager was friendly and helpful. Made recommendations for local restaurant. Wi-Fi connection was great! Restrooms and showers were clean and well kept. When I visit Gilroy I will stay here again. Did not charge for a second vehicle that was in our group. We camped at Gilroy Garlic USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pinnacles Campground, Pinnacles National Park, California

Spent one night here. I felt $36 was a bit pricey for a site w/electric only. Restrooms were clean. Campsites are well marked. Staff inside store knowledgeable and friendly. Showers are pay for use. We camped at Pinnacles Campground in a Travel Trailer.

California Hot Springs Resort, California Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. Very quiet and excellent for star gazing. Upper sites are not level. Cable TV is not that great. Channels are fuzzy, but it is better than no TV. If you want conveniences like cell phone, forget it. Cell phone coverage is non-existent. Restrooms were clean. Would stay in this park again. Pool and jacuzzi's are across the street. We camped at California Hot Springs Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Morro Strand RV Park, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We spent two nights at Park II. Had the entire park to ourselves. (Park I was half full) Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. As advertised the restrooms were very clean. Had some difficulty hooking up to Wi-Fi for Park II but had no problem connecting to Park I across the street. TV channel selection was great, 70+ channels. The reason I rated it 8 is it is all cement and gravel, no grass. Staff was excellent and extremely helpful. Night manager greeted us while hooking up. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
