Sabal Palm RV Resort And Campground, Palmdale, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Great park.

The only downfall is a 15 mile trip to the nearest stores. A small convenience store within 1/2 mile is due to open, so that should help. It would be wise to stock up on groceries.

They have the standard RV park rules, but the unique thing is they enforce them! Absolutely great staff.

Our AT&T worked well for both voice and data. Typical Wi-Fi is available, not great, but adequate.

The best testimony I can give is : Are we returning again this winter and spending our money there?? YES-YES-YES.

After living in South Florida for 35 years I can attest that this is the best park for the buck in the area. We camped at Sabal Palm RV Resort And Campground in a Travel Trailer.

An outstanding Florida State Park, within driving distance to Disney. (22 miles) Clean and well maintained. Some sites have sewer, but most are water and electric. We camped at Lake Louisa State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park, White Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful park with a museum dedicated to Stephen Foster. A bell carrion tower rings out every 15 minutes and a song at the top of each hour. Sites were super clean and raked. It was obvious that the campground hosts worked hard on the appearance. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is very nice. One section is only two years old and in great shape. The host is very friendly and helpful. Be advised that NO alcohol is allowed and it is strictly enforced. Very clean restrooms. We camped at Bledsoe Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Eastbank COE, Bainbridge, Georgia

A very nice park. The only improvement that could be made is having sewer at the sites. Great lakeside sites with wonderful views. We camped at Eastbank COE in a Travel Trailer.

U.S. Space & Rocket Center RV Park, Huntsville, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay in if you are going to visit the Space Center. Very good staff. Friendly, and helpful. The only negative was the amount of trash spread throughout the park. Just outside the park kids at Space Camp launch small rockets with parachutes. With prevailing winds they all land inside the park, and no one picks these items up. There was also a small amount of regular trash in the camping area through out the park. The roads did have some potholes that need repair. We camped at U.S. Space & Rocket Center RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Heartland RV Park & Cabins, Hermosa, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very clean and well maintained. Management is friendly and helpful. There were three items that were disappointing: 1. Many amenities were closed in preparation for winter. (Pool, one laundry room, the hot tub.) But we were still charged for "Summer Rates." (Read higher priced) 2. Advertised Wi-Fi did not work. 3. Our first assigned site was so short that we could not unhook our truck. With the trailer in place, the tow vehicle was across the road and within two feet of the camper there. Management did assign a new site without a problem. The campground is well located for visiting the surrounding attractions. We camped at Heartland RV Park & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Robinson State Park, Crawford, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice state park. Lots of things to do from Memorial Day until Labor Day. After Labor days most activities are not available. If you are going to stay any length of time, purchase an annual vehicle pass for Nebraska State Parks. $20.00 will save you real money in daily entrance fees. Lots of history with numerous historical markers. We will stay here again and take part in the activities. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Motorhome.

Chimney Rock Pioneer Crossing, Bayard, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This is a "basic" campground. It has no "resort" amenities. No swimming pool, etc. The outstanding items are that the park is very well maintained and in great shape. Lush grass between the sites, and the sites have a fair amount of room between them. The owners will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They also have trading post with unique gifts available. Not the regular "same old" "same old" seen in most gift shops. They also have limited food service. The only real drawback, is the trains that pass by frequently. If train whistles bother you, this is not the place. After a few days, most people do not even notice them. If you want a basic, campground, at a fair price, this is a good one. We camped at Chimney Rock Pioneer Crossing in a Travel Trailer.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Canyon, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

As we live in our camper full time and stay in a lot of state parks, Palo Duro is one of the best! It has lots of things to do, and the scenery is unsurpassed. One item that did stand out was the friendliness of the park rangers. They seemed happy and excited that you were here and their enthusiasm is catching. So far this summer, this park has been the highlight of our trip. We camped at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Caprock Canyons State Park, Quitaque, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has beautiful scenery to enjoy and the "official" Texas state herd of Bison. They have many viewing areas for the bison and a very informative center located at the main office. There are a few Bison Statues located throughout the park in the open fields. These bison are not real, although there are plenty of "live" bison around. The park is well maintained and clean. Stock up on groceries before you go, as the nearest large supermarket is 52 miles away. We camped at Caprock Canyons State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Spring Branch RV Park, Spring Branch, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a first class facility without the first class price! Price at $10.00 is monthly rate. Very clean park overall. The well designed sites are in excellent condition. No shuffle board or any other "resort" amenities but then again you are not paying for those amenities not used! Daily garbage pick up at your site. Propane is picked up and returned to your site. Paved roads, super clean rest rooms and laundry room. Owner is on site every day, and really cares about the park. We have spent the past three months here and will definitely be back. We camped at Spring Branch RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
