Fort Stockton RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

I would have rated it higher, but the restaurant was closed on the weekend and sewer hook up was so far back we would have to buy more hose. We didn't hook up to sewer and just used the dump station before we left. We wanted to stay hooked up since we were only staying overnight. There were people not cleaning up after their dog. Also, sites are a bit confusing and an escort would be helpful. Seems like a skeleton crew for a weekend of business, but pleasant staff. Great Wi-Fi. I would come here again. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Admiralty RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The staff goes above and beyond to be friendly and make sure you're up on what the park has to offer and tells you all you need to know about tours and bus schedules if you need them. The Grand Tour that left from the RV park was worth every penny. We never had to fight traffic. The tour guides are great as was all the sights we saw in San Antonio. The park is quiet and clean with friendly folks great Wi-Fi and cable. We stayed here two days. Pretty good access from the 1604 loop. We camped at Admiralty RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Timber KOA, Big Timber, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

I had a gift certificate so that is what reflects the rate we paid. The staff was very friendly. Felt bad for them as they had done so much work after some of the park had been flooded. This is a very nice older park with plenty for kids to do: big pillow and a small water park next door. Was an additional fee but looks fun. Was not quite open when we camped. Also down the road within walking distance, is prairie dog town. Was just a small viewing area of these fun, furry ground animals. Our overall stay was a very nice one. Oh yes, if trains and highway traffic noise bothers you, this might not be the place for you. But in Montana trains are in most every community, and being from Montana this never bothered us. We camped at Big Timber KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverside Resort RV Park, Laughlin, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Staff very stiff and abrupt. A real nightmare trying to find our street. Very high up on a hill but had good cable and Wi-Fi. Shuttle took over 30 minutes after 2 calls to get there to pick us up to take us to the casino. We did find nonsmoking area in the casino which was nice. Buffet $12.99 a piece and food was so so chicken crust gooey and fatty chicken, peach pie was gross, nice views of the river and other foods we ate were OK, I would highly suggest going somewhere else to eat a nice meal. A lot of detours and construction going on right now. OK for overnight but for long terms would try another place and casino. We camped at Riverside Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Carlsbad RV Park and Campground, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Great game room; friendly staff at this park. The heater in the pool was broken. Had high school girls going around the park begging you for magazine subscriptions. The people were quiet. They gave a nice gift pack of samples and had a huge selection of DVD's, offered the first one for free. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Great Place with a waterfront view. Had a nice site with fire pit and grill. It's quiet but bring your ajax to put around your wheels. Those crazy argentina ants are everywhere and will soon be inside your trailer if not attended to. We camped at Rocky Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park, Livingston, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff and nice book exchange. This park needs some help. Our electric box was rusty and the lid fell off. It looked as though it had been backed in to several times on this very unlevel site. Was 92 degrees and the pool was closed with tons of leaves in it. This park just needs some TLC to bring it back to the standard that everyone would expect for the Premier Escapee Park. We camped at Rainbow's End - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.
