South Shore entrance to park yields wide open spaces between campsites. There is also a resident herd of bison inside a fenced area. The North Shore entrance is in a river bottom with huge pecan trees providing many shady sites. 50 amp service is available. There is one section for equestrian users with corrals and many trails available for riders. The trails are avaiable for hikers and bicycles as well. As with other state parks in Texas, dump stations are available in the different campgrounds, and no firewood can be picked up inside the park. We
camped at San Angelo State Park in a Motorhome.
