This was a great find! Close to metro Des Moines but still had the state park feel with lots of trees, peaceful, and nature. Park and sites were paved. Sites are either electric 50/30/20 ($14) or full hookups ($17) with fire rings & picnic tables at each site. They have bathrooms, but no showers. It does have potable water and a dump, but might be a little tight for larger rigs. Some sites are smaller than others. And some sites are reservable. Highly recommend reservations in summer! There are additional fees are for reservations, $4 online or $8 by phone, but there was not an additional fee for entry to the State Park. We loved this little gem!

Nightly regular rate is $33.00, but you can use your Passport America Sun-Wed for 50% off and your Good Sam's for 10% off. Rate includes 50/30/20A, water, sewer, cable, excellent Wi-Fi, pool & hot tub all from your pull thru or back in concrete site. There was just enough grass to enjoy, but our site was missing a tree for shade. Some sites do have shade trees. For you golfers, the golf course was next door. And for families, it had a nice, smaller playground and a splash pad. Only reason we did not rate it a 10 - the entry and exit was a little steep and our rv scraped a little. The first row of pull thrus (#1-8) were not level front to back and you will need extra blocks for your front jacks. We really enjoyed the campground and thought is was a great value for all of the amenities!

Park is an older park but taken care of. The residents/long term folks do take pride in their park. Half of the sites are concrete and the other half are in grass. We took the last cement spot because it was supposed to rain for the next couple weeks (which it did). No one wanted that cement spot because it was 30 amps but I figured we could manage and did want the cement. Others took the grass and sure enough, got stuck in the mud. The trash is way to the other side of park in mud to get there. There is a lot to do in the area and we did feel secure there in the park. Folks were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again because of the Passport America rates, but would not stay a whole season.

Nice park, easy access to our site, with large asphalt pads on the new side. Cable provided. A lot of shade trees make for nice a cool site but do hinder satellite reception. The work Campers had a lot of information to share and were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

A very nice city park with large sites and plenty of grass. We love finding the small city parks and most turn out to be hidden gems. The only negative is the train tracks next to the park. We will definitely stay here again. There are 3 water hookups near the sites to share. There is also a dump station on site.

Nice, clean park with great pool/hot tub! Very nice employees and residents. Sites are very close together and would have been hard to get in to with our 40 foot 5th wheel if the site across the street was not empty. Some trees, so satellite could be tricky.

Very nice park! Great pool and hot tub. Employees and residents were very nice. Some sites would be very tight for our 40 foot rig, but we had a pull through in the DD row that gave us extra room to exit. All sites are set pretty close together. Did not visit showers or laundry. Would definitely return!

Older park, therefore sites were tight and roads were very narrow. Large RVs be aware. Cable available for long term only. Most sites were shaded, and some sites were very shaded, so getting satellite was tricky. Did not visit pool, restrooms or showers. Park employees and residents were very nice! Price reflects PA rate.

Roads were nicely bricked, but sites were hard packed sand. Sites are being sold, so they haven't done much to improve them. Did not visit pool, restrooms or showers. Overall clean and quiet. Paid PA rate of $24 plus $3 for 50A plus tax.

Very nice, well maintained park. Paved roads all around and nice level spots. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. We were crossing the bridge and saw the park along the river. Needs a little better markings to get there but worth it once you arrive. The staff here was very friendly. We will stay here again when in the area. Park is normally open May 15 - Oct 15 but was opened early due to good weather.

Excellent place to stay in the northeast side of Denver. It's a fairgrounds with a lot of activity going on. The lady in the office, is very friendly and does all she can to accommodate your needs. The only draw back is not FHU but there is a dump site on locatation. We will be staying here again when visiting our daughter in the area.

Plenty of elbow room. Very friendly employees. Very clean park. FU 50A with Wi-Fi and cable (although Wi-Fi was out of service 1 of the 3 day). Close to T or C and State Park lake. Accepts Passport America. Normal rate was $44. Is now called Elephant Butte RV Resort. Owner expanded. We stay in "old" area. Will definitely stay again!

Excellent park, large sites with easy access. Hookups in the center of the sites made for easy use. Staff was very friendly and referred us to a couple places they go to eat. We would stay here again when in the area.

Park was easy to get to. Called to verify availability and was told when coming in after hours to just find a site and settle up in the morning. The staff was very friendly and answered all questions. I would stay here again anytime in the area.
