Roadrunner RV Resort, Red River, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

YEAH - Roadrunner is back! We used to stay here all the time, but the previous owner got harder to get along with each year. We quit coming because we refuse to pay money to be abused. The new owners are local business owners and have a customer is king approach to business. They reopened the part in June and are working hard to make it the best park in New Mexico. We had a site on the river that was perfect - good water, electric, cable (30 channels), and Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi stayed up the whole time we were there and was reasonably fast. There is also a special "Adults Only" section for those that want it. Campfires and canopy's are permitted. All of the staff went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. We will be back. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is one of the best parks we have ever stayed in. All sites are paved and level. The Wi-Fi work great and cell phone coverage was good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We camped at Forest Retreat RV Park in a Motorhome.

Skyline Ranch RV Park, Bandera, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park. The owners and staff treated us like family. We camped here with 7 other couples and the owner went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The sites are large pull thru with full hookups. The Wi-Fi and cable worked good. There are 3 rec rooms that can accommodate the largest rallies. There is a small pond on the way down to the Medina River. We will definitely be back. We camped at Skyline Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sandpiper RV Resort, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is the newest RV park in Galveston. It is located where the old Sandpiper Motel was. They have built a really nice park. All roads and pads are concrete. The pads are wide and long. Wi-Fi worked good as did the cable TV. The pool area has a hot tub and a gas fire pit. There is a well equipped, comfortable club room. The park is located next to Stewart Beach and is withing walking distance to many restaurants and entertainment establishments. The cost is a little pricy, but not for the location and facilities. We would stay here again. We camped at Sandpiper RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) , Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this park. Checking was quick and the staff was super. The park is a little tight, but that did not present a problem. The sites are long, wide, and level with plenty of shade. Cell phone and satellite TV were hard to get. Wi-Fi is available at several locations, but it appears the park shuts it off at night. The laundry is extra large and clean. Showers are "pay for" in the laundry building. The park has a marina, a restaurant & grill, and a well stocked general store. There is also a service station at the entrance to the park. The higher cost is worth the price and we would stay here again. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Laramie KOA, Laramie, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was one of the poorest KOA campgrounds we have stayed in. The site we were assigned was occupied. Other sites in the row would not accommodate our RV without unhooking. We moved to the back row where the sites were longer, but it did not have cable. I asked to use my Value Rewards points to pay for the site, but the girl checking us in said she did not know how to do that. The park is in need of some tender, loving care. We won't be back here. We camped at Laramie KOA in a Motorhome.

Garden of the Gods Campground, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground for just kicking back or seeing the sites of Colorado Springs. The spaces are not as level as they could be, but did not present us a problem. The park is clean and quiet. Getting in and out of the park is tight, but I was able to get my 40 foot RV in after unhooking the towed. The staff is friendly and suggested sites we might want to see. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

Lagoons RV Resort, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second time to stay here. Our site was 70 feet long and had a fair space between the the sites on either side. There are many winter Texans staying in the park. There are many park models that a permanent. All of the sites and streets are paved concrete. Our site was level. There is a charge for Wi-Fi ($19 a month), but we had a great signal and it was fast. Our cell phone had a good signal. We enjoyed our stay here and will be back. We camped at Lagoons RV Resort in a Motorhome.
