Mitchell KOA, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The hosts of the campground were very nice. Everything was in a nice order, and the customers service they give to each person is hard to find now days. The only issue was the bugs, but the amount of rain brought them out. Not the fault of the owners. Would recommend this place to anyone going through South Dakota. The campground was very close to the Corn Palace. We camped at Mitchell KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Spokane Creek, Keystone, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice place to stay on our visit to Mount Rushmore. It is close to Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, downtown Keystone, and Rapid City. Please make note of the size of your motorhome or travel trailer. There is one road going into the area that is very narrow. Call ahead and ask for other directions even if you are not sure. The hosts were friendly, they had a gas station, and a place to eat. The mini golf needs repaired and the pool could have been cleaned out a bit. Overall a nice place to stay. We camped at Spokane Creek in a Travel Trailer.

This park is 30 min from our house. We go all the time to get away from work. Everyone is nice friendly. Kids can run around freely. There are hiking trails and bike trails. Plenty of creek crossings for hikers. We camped at Versailles State Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this campground for the last 3 yrs. Never any problems and to date the best place we have ever stayed. OK, They have no elect or water hook ups or showers. The bathrooms have running water. We stay for the hiking and backpacking in June. We camped at Elkmont Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.
