Date of Stay:

Nicest KOA campground we have stayed in. Well layed out pull-thru shaded sites. Owners were very pleasant. Great play area for the kids and a nice pool and pavilion. Grounds well kept. An intimate setting for quiet relaxation. Will be our only choice when in the area.

Date of Stay:

We have been camping about 6 years and this was probably our very favorite park. We are not real big on lots of activities - we camp to relax. This park was made for that. We were in premium site #3. Right on the edge of the mountaintop with a view that went on forever. The sites are designed to be very private, laid out almost end to end instead of side by side. We could not even see our neighbors. We had a very large concrete pad, heavy duty picnic table, and well placed fire ring. Each site had it's own trash can and a small light pole at the site entrance and at the utility hookups. Everything about the campground was extremely neat and clean. Owners were very friendly. Did not use the bath house or laundry but building looked new and clean just like the new office. It was a little scary coming up the gravel mountain road for fear that we might meet another camper. We never met anyone else so it was ok. Also since we pull a 37ft 5th wheel with a long 3500 pickup, manuevering in the turnaround that you must use to get out was a little tricky - but we made it. We love visiting Asheville and now know where we'll be staying in the future. Loved this park.
