Fort Yargo State Park, Winder, Georgia

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a state park! We never expected such a GREAT campground. The private owned should take note of how a wonderful campground should look! I highly recommend this as a place to set back by the campground and enjoy the outdoors. We camped at Fort Yargo State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pirateland Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We like staying at Pirateland. The sites are roomy and easy to get into. The staff is wonderful and always friendly. When the park is not busy, they always let us pick our site. We have tried a few other campgrounds and they just do not have the great feeling of being "at home". I do wish they would have Wi-Fi free. The service was not very good this time and paying $9.95 for 24 hours of service is just sad. But overall, I give them an 8. There is always room to do better. We camped at Pirateland Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

River Camp USA, Piney Creek, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We have been here twice. It's nestled right on the river. There's fishing, canoeing and tubing. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The setting is just so darn peaceful. I recommend this highly if you want to get away from it all...TV, traffic, phones, etc. We camped at River Camp USA in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone at Gloucester Point , Hayes, Virginia

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very sad indeed. Roads to park are very narrow and winding. There are no lights if you come into the park after dark. Roads in park are in poor shape. Grounds are not maintained. Poor drainage. Overall, this was not a good choice. Will not be going back there again. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone at Gloucester Point in a Fifth Wheel.
