Peter D's RV Park, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Owners describes his place as designed for Boomers--no pools/play grounds etc. Peter (the owner) is very engaged in making sure his customers are happy and keeps a spotless restroom. Was in the men's room picking up before 9am--changing out a shower curtain one visitor mentioned was showing some mildew. Gave great lead for dinner at a Rib and Chop house in town. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.

America's Best Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a frequent winner of Good Sam's best park award. Would have rated a 10 if showers were a bit more user friendly and larger. No hooks or place to put shower gear while using sinks post showers. Park was probably at 50% occupancy but when we arrived without a reservation, they made out it was a BIG deal they could find us a place--pretty mechanical at front desk. Large laundry room with up-to-date equipment--quite clean. We camped at America's Best Campground in a Motorhome.

Neat Retreat RV Park, Fruitland, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Despite a large number of monthly plus residents, the park overall is quite pleasant. Owner asked us to move after getting setup due to an error he had made. He comp the stay for the night. Spots of reasonably level gravel sites with a few concrete pads. Don't let all the modular homes at entrance scare you off. The restrooms were among the larger we had in a three week trip--clean with everything in good working order We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park), Baker City, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with mature shade trees. Showers are fully tiled and well maintained--great water pressure and plenty of hotwater. Park has indoor hottub, outdoor pool and large laundry facility--all well cared. High water pressure so be sure to use a pressure device at the faucet--they sell at office if you do not have one. Office mgr said they get water at 125 psi if not irrigating. Only real negative is proximity to mainline train track--frequent trains esp in early am We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Motorhome.

Jim & Mary's RV Park, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient, clean park just off I-90. Had no problem with cell during our visit but it is spotty in the area. Free entertainment, and ice cream social mid-week. New restrooms (all tile)for new spaces and "old" restroom being remodeled. Were on the edge of park and still had workable wi-fi. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pheasant Ridge RV Resort, Wilsonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $36.00

All sites paved and well serviced. Less than mile from I5, and near major shopping. Showers and restroom very clean. Great place to use as a base for Oregon Pinot wine country visits or overnight heading N/S on I5. Reservations may be necessary during the summer--got one of last two places midweek last week in May We camped at Pheasant Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cape Kiwanda RV Resort, Pacific City, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This place is a contrast in extremes. Great location just across the street from a great public beach and Haystack rock. Sites are level gravel and have full services--although I could never connect to the free wireless. The restrooms/showers were a joke! Plastic stalls dropped in the various corners of a concrete block building. Walls constructed with what looks like scrap lumber and OSB board. Plumbing is exposed pbc piping. Hope you do not want to control your water as everyone gets one volume and temp--operates off timer switch. No hot water at sink (in Mens). If we were not paying "resort" prices it might be so striking. At least the floors and rooms were clean even if unattractive. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Woodland Shores RV Park, Woodland, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Paved sites with good access. Easy access from I5. We did not have any problems with any smells. Bathrooms a bit dated but clean. One of the best showers in awhile--great pressure and plenty of water--none of those drizzle water saver heads. Entire campground was tidy and well kept. Wifi suppose to be available but did not try Had an interior site since were only in for one night but those sites looked great. Spaces are a bit tight but seen a lot worse. We camped at Woodland Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

Crown Villa RV Resort, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Very attractive park with paver sites so all level and dry. A well appointed park with nice workout room and baths BUT only available during limited times. Showers/Bath are locked at 8 pm and do not open till 8 am--these may be winter hours but still not very client friendly. Exercise room only open when office is so it is closed at 6 pm. For most folks who are doing anything during the day, the available hours make the features pretty unavailable. We camped at Crown Villa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Brookhollow RV Park, Kelso, Washington

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

First time visitor. Had high ratings in Trailer Life ratings books, but we were not impressed. Showers/restrooms were clean but showed wear and deferred maintenance. Overall restroom experience impacted by strong sewer gas aroma whenever visited. Spots were level and had concrete pads. Overall appearance attractive, as long as you did not go into restrooms. Staff somewhat indifferent to clients. We arrived after manager left at 6, and even though people in office they refused to take any payment until their official opening at 9 am. Had to kill 30 minutes in order to pay for the night. We camped at Brookhollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Eagle Tree RV Park, Poulsbo, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Exceptionally nice park. Lots of trees, with spaces under large cedars if you don't mind back in. Reasonably level dirt with interior paved--not sure how it would be when it gets wetter. Open areas have gravel. WiFi worked well. Handy for accessing the National Park and peninsula attractions but distance from PA over 40 miles. We camped at Eagle Tree RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Meadows RV Park, Ketchum, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $28.00

Bring your extensions for connecting to the sewer, cable connection also took 15' of wire. Space level gravel--just long reaches to some connections. Restrooms/showers functionally clean but also showing serious needs of updating. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Black Rabbit RV Park, Hamilton, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Note the review from 2005--Ditto--overrated in Trailer Life. Restrooms/showers functionally clean but have obvious "deferred maintenance". Namestake rabbits are all over park so watch where you walk and where you put stuff on ground. WiFi above average. We camped at Black Rabbit RV Park in a Motorhome.
