Camper's City, Moncton, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Charged to CC immediately on reservation. No mention or question of affinity discount. No mention that site Wifi is $5.75+Tax(15%) daily, free in clubhouse while line dancing class blares loud music. Entrance and exit are a pain in the A. Will not stay here again. Sites are small, not level and muddy. We camped at Camper's City in a Fifth Wheel.

Birmingham South Campground, Pelham, Alabama

Overall Rating:

Roads have deteriorated over the years and are rough, sites are very poorly maintained. This is our 7th stop here since 2005. They now do Not have cable TV even though it is still advertised, but there are signs in the office. Overnight only!! We camped at Birmingham South Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Acres RV & Camping Park, Fort Myers, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Washing machines and dryers out of order more than working, always waiting for parts(since November). Barking dogs are a big problem and no one enforces rules about anything. Tenters have been thrown out after 3 or 4 incidents only, some get to stay regardless! People are friendly and many long term visitors. Management is absent and local manager is very inexperienced. We camped at Shady Acres RV & Camping Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Acres RV & Camping Park, Fort Myers, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Shady Acres in Fort Myers is well maintained, however there are far too many dogs allowed. Some units have 3 or more dogs and some bark continually. People are using the extended leashes and allowing the dogs to walk on other folk's property and do their business. The pool is far too small for the size of the park and rules are not being enforced for the amount of people allowed in the pool at the same time. I find it hard to give this park a high rating because of these issues. We camped at Shady Acres RV & Camping Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA, Washington, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Interior roads are terrible, narrow and full of holes. Sites are not level. Getting to park is well marked by signs which is good as it is buried in the hill on steep narrow roads. The roads in the campground are very steep and could damage units if not VERY careful. The worst KOA I have ever seen. Not worth $10 per night. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Good golf course at reasonable prices, but poorly managed and disorganized. Tournaments get priority and bump people with reserved tee times (twice in one week). Long term residents get priority. We were here 2 weeks and were ignored. Very much the cliques. We had six in our group so not too bad, but 2 people on their own were lost. Wi-Fi only at rec center and office area, no site internet. Lots along golf course are to be stayed away from. They will put up screens, but golfers are terrible and will rain balls on your rig. Demand sites away from golf fairways. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A very convenient park in a great area. Fredericksburg was awesome, very good wineries, golf, friendly people, and campground. We stayed a week and the facility was good. Airport immediately behind GC was not busy so noise was only intermittent and not a factor. Would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax, Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

A very well run park with friendly owners and very responsive to issues/requests. We were camped here for 2 weeks and found the park very convenient for trips to the South shore: (Chester, Lunenburg, Bridgewater). Also for visiting Halifax and surrounding area. Took a trip to the Eastern Shore as far as Sheet Harbor scenic but very few restaurants and attractions (great mussels at Ship Harbor). Park is clean and a complaint to the owner about a continuously barking dog was addressed within 5 minutes. We have visited before and will be back. We camped at Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax in a Fifth Wheel.

Victoria Park Campground, Smiths Falls, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and well kept. Showers are cleaned twice a day but they are small. Half the sites back onto the Rideau Canal and are very nice with boats moving up and down thru the canal from lock to lock. Walking distance to shops and pubs downtown. Only issue is no sewer on sites but a good dump station is available. There are boat docks for vessels traveling the Rideau Canal System available. We camped at Victoria Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Shady Acres RV & Camping Park, Fort Myers, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Shady is an older park with variable size sites and some very wet places. Rainstorms flood much of the camping area and make access difficult in places. In dry years this isn't an issue but in 2010 it's an issue. Park has many returning "snowbirds" so that tells you its a good place to stay. Lots of activities, social gatherings and sports are organized by snowbirds. Management has a very high turnover rate as witnessed by 3 managers in 2 years as well as high staff turnover. The current manager is daughter-in-law of owner and has some control issues to say the least. Treatment of staff seems to be an issue witnessed by high turnover. Manager tries to be very friendly and is making some good changes to the park which were never done before as money was not made available to previous managers to do much. The very controlling nature of the Manager is reducing the enjoyment of guests and will lead to people not returning. We are in our 6th year at this park but it may be the last as it is not as much fun anymore. We camped at Shady Acres RV & Camping Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

A very clean well maintained park. Reception is friendly and the staff helpful. Almost all sites are pull-through and large. We travel with a 36' fiver and were accommodated easily. Watch the water pressure: you need a pressure reducer here for sure. Big sign in office tells you that also! We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.
