Convenient to the highway and nice residents in the park. That's all I have nice to say. Sites are extreeeemly tight. We have a 40 ft and had to back out because the resident next to us had a permanently set flag pole making it impossible to turn on the front side. They should recommend this park only for very small recreational vehicles. Ideal for van or small trailer looking to save money and have a quiet place for the night. Beware. They only accept cash.

This rate reflects the basic weekly rate. You pay electric on top of this which is metered. This park has much to offer and is in an area rich with history and site seeing for the San Antonio and Fredricksburg area. There are so many activities offered that one could have an entire vacation while staying in this park. Offered are many group meals, crafts, tours, etc. that one is welcome to sign up for if willing to pay the requested fees (which seem mostly reasonable). This park is primarily big rig and thus we would stay here again.

We enjoyed our short stay as this park is close to Old Mesilla where we have a favorite restaurant. The staff is very friendly and gladly accepted our mail and gave us a quick check in. This park has some residents along the back row, however, all rigs looked keep up well and we felt secure in the area. At this price, for an overnight it worked well for us and we would stay here again as it is much easier to get into than places we have stayed in town.

We lucked onto this after we couldn't locate Mount View RV Park (which turned out to be off the main highway instead at the 1120 I-10 address shown on the website). The folks here were very nice and this was just a quick overnight for us. Very quiet park. Excellent drinking water. Easy on and off I-10 on the East end of Bowie. Would definitely stay again if we need an overnight in the area. This is not a scenic area so unless you are looking for extreme rest and relaxation it might not be the park for you.

This was our second stay in this park and this time it was just an overnight on our way south for the winter. It is always nice to be greeted by the roadrunners here and the other patrons of the park all seem very friendly. There is easy access to this park, beautiful Arizona sunsets, and nice flat sites with plenty of room. We will stay here again when passing through.

This was our second stay at this park and lucked out to get assigned the same site we had before. Even though the sites are somewhat narrow we have found it is easy to get into for us (40 ft. fifth wheel). The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will most likely continue to stay here when visiting friends in Palm Desert as it is convenient to them and the businesses in the area.

Please note, there is no RV rental for this site for January and February

The rate shown is the old montly rate. We have just been informed that monthly will go up $200 the first of the year. (They only gave those who are residents 27 days notice). Daily rate will be $59. Doesn't affect us as we won't be here. This park is advertised as a resort, but not only is the previous review correct about the spaces being small and the staff being rude, but also IT IS NO RESORT. We have stayed here several times over the past couple of years, and it has the coldest swimming pool around - it's even too cold to swim in during the high heat of summer. The restrooms have no heat or air conditioning nor does the laundry room. Although the fenced dog run is large, it isn't safe for the smaller dogs as it has a huge drain pipe that drains into the dog run and fills up with swampy smelly water when it rains. Wonder what diseases this water contains? The park isn't worth the old rate let alone the new rate. I suspect this park will be in bankruptcy once again after the first of the year. We have noticed many areas where the park just isn't as nice as it once was. There is trash along the fences that has been there for well over a month.

I agree with the other reviewers that it has sparse trees and is very cold in the fall, we had 28 degrees in early November. The staff was very nice and helpful, and we found several wonderful side trips to take while in the area. We will definitely stay here again as the laundry is clean, and the restrooms are very nice, and it wasn't crowded. We have a 40 ft. fifth wheel which was no problem in the space we were in because there was plenty of room to put the truck alongside.

We had no trouble with the staff. Enjoyed the use of the small but efficient gym. The traffic noise will drive you crazy unless you can take out your hearing aids or wear an IPOD to bed which is what I did. It was very convenient to where we needed to be so we liked that part. It's a little difficult to negotiate the one way street with the BIG rigs but we really liked Grants Pass, and the park worked for us. We stayed here for a week.

Date of Stay:

As mentioned in previous reviews, sites are very narrow and difficult for the big rigs to get into without running over parts of the grass which is a big NO NO according to park rules and they have you sign off on them at the entrance. (We even had a park resident run to tattle to the security guard when we accidentally clipped the outside corner of the grass getting in). Beautifully kept grass, nice recreation room, wonderful laundry, nice folks at the registration desk, very convenient to Safeway, etc. Some truck noise since Safeway trucks deliver at night just behind the park. We would probably try one of the other parks in the area closer to I-5 if just passing through or closer to the coast if we are visiting the coast next time.

We stayed here in a fifth wheel and extended our stay by one week due to the beautiful fall colors coming on and the fact that this was a nice quiet park to stay. Convenient for traveling to Mt. St. Helens, Astoria OR, Longbeach WA, the Dalles, many fish hatcheries, Portland, etc. Nice park with large sites and easy pull thrus. Very clean and kept. Would definitely book here again.

Nice place, easy in and out, easy to find, very friendly park staff. This is a beautiful setting for any size rig (we are 40 feet) and convenient to town only a few miles away where you can easily catch the Victoria Express ferry to Victoria, BC for the day. Some sites have fire rings, park is pet friendly and extremely quiet and peaceful at night. We will definitely come back again. The only shortcomings we could find was that there is no cable TV. The one channel we could get consistently was a mish mash of things we never watch on TV like old 1960 reruns. The other thing is that the laundry works great but is so small that with a full campground there is only two washers and dryers, we ended up going to town to laundry.

Very friendly owner who isn't shy to let you know he is a good Christian man. Park is off the main highway 1/2 mile paved and 1/4 mile good gravel packed road. Has full hook up sites however isn't designated an RV park but more of a campground. This means you can dump your holding tanks at your site sewer connection but you cannot keep it connected during your entire stay. Wasn't much inconvenience for us as we have 4-5 day dry camping ability. Convenient to the city 10 miles away (south) and approx. six miles to Farragut State Park. Very quiet at night. A few trains but mostly noticed them during the day. As noted by other reviewers, the biggest noise comes from the machine shop next door where they like to drop the bucket on the front end loader several times a day. This park accepts cash only so come prepared. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again when in the area.

Pass this one by!. They messed up our reservation even though we had written internet confirmation and they already charged our credit card for the FULL five days. They did not have a space reserved for us and they had no space available. Could have been quite a scramble for a 40 ft. rig like ours, luckily they did tell us about the Cedar Grove Dude ranch up the road. Despite fewer services the price was a little higher but it is much more private and in the woods, away from the train. The Alpine Store clerks' comment upon our arrival was that they had messed up reservations all summer. Sounds like time for a new manager and a better staff with knowledge of the computer program to schedule this. Look to other parks in the area, there are some very nice ones.
