Boulder County Fairgrounds, Longmont, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Simple park in nice area, convenient to shopping, movies, and Saturday farmers market in season. Easy spots on a first come first serve basis with 14 day stay limit. Easy into Boulder, Lafayette, etc. W&E worked great. Dump station pretty easy to get into. No sewer sites but nicely kept bathhouse with individually lock shower stalls and clean sink/toilet ares. Very quiet after dark. Humane shelter close by but no noise noted. Park needs some spiffing up so you don't feel like you are camping in an empty lot. Overall, a good place to stay.

We will stay here again. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Deer Park Campground, Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a favorite of ours and have returned many times. The fee reflects the weekly rate. We love the history of Buffalo, the people are friendly, the park has a nice little pool and some wide open spaces. Often you can see wildlife in the park. Although they have a nice laundry at the park we often use the one in town as it has large capacity washers for comforters, sleeping bags etc. We are sure to return in the future. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

There is grocery availability in town, however a little higher prices than we like. There is also Walmart in Sheridan for volume and prescription needs. Be sure to go into the Occidental Hotel and Saloon. It's a great trip back in time.

Western Hills Campground, Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Utilities always work well. We have stayed here many times when passing through the area, usually for an overnight. Staff friendly and efficient. This park is in the windy, dry southern Wyoming area and not conducive to landscaping so they do the best with what Mother Nature offers. Convenient on and off freeway. Fuel stations are convenient, diesel is only one exit away. Nice family restaurant within a short walk across the road. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The historic Rawlins Prison museum is worth an overnight if you have the time. They also have a nice historical museum of the area and a decent movie theater. Walmart is close by, however, unhook- I think it would be difficult to navigate with a trailer or coach.

Uncompahgre River RV Park (55+ park), Olathe, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The rate reflects the monthly rate. We have stayed here many times while visiting relatives in the area. This park is buried back in the small town of Olathe and is quiet. Long pull thrus and beautiful landscaping make it an easy place to land for a while. The owners have worked diligently to bring this park up to its full potential. The individual bathrooms with showers and the laundry are always immaculate, something not often seen in the camping realm. Many folks come and stay the whole summer and enjoy the peacefulness. We will return to this park. We camped at Uncompahgre River RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is convenient to shopping in both Delta and Montrose. Enjoy cherries in July, early August is Sweet Corn Festival in Olathe, and Palisade Peaches come shortly after.

Make sure if this is your first visit to the area to plan time for day trips to Grand Mesa, Ouray, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and McClure Pass to Redstone, Glenwood Springs, and Aspen. It's beautiful country and lots of recreation in the area.

Monument RV Resort, Fruita, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I'm a native of this area back for a class reunion. Our first time to this park but found it to be nicer than other parks in the area. Easy to navigate with our forty foot fifth wheel despite the round about getting off the freeway. Staff friendly enough. Site was okay, with good utilities. Very small swimming pool available as well as laundry room. This is the best place to stay if you want to visit Colorado National Monument. Good park to leave your rig, take a nice drive and picnic lunch into the monument, drive thru and take pictures and make the full loop back through Grand Junction. Or take in the Dinosaur Museum right across the street. Also watch for the Peach Festval in the other end of the valley in early Septemer annually. Best peaches EVER, bar none. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground, Salina, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is good for an overnight when traveling this section of I 70. Staff was very congenial with no hassle for arriving early. We will use this park again when trying to make the pass early in the day when headed east to avoid pulling in the heat of the day. Not fancy but had an adequate laundry. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times when passing through Las Vegas. It is close to Bass Pro Shops and many restaurants which is a plus for us. It is also generally pretty quiet compared to the rest of the city. Good security, okay laundry, small convenience store for last minute items, great pool. Tanbark Campground, Dickson, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient to the highway and nice residents in the park. That's all I have nice to say. Sites are extreeeemly tight. We have a 40 ft and had to back out because the resident next to us had a permanently set flag pole making it impossible to turn on the front side. They should recommend this park only for very small recreational vehicles. Ideal for van or small trailer looking to save money and have a quiet place for the night. Beware. They only accept cash. We camped at Tanbark Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This rate reflects the basic weekly rate. You pay electric on top of this which is metered. This park has much to offer and is in an area rich with history and site seeing for the San Antonio and Fredricksburg area. There are so many activities offered that one could have an entire vacation while staying in this park. Offered are many group meals, crafts, tours, etc. that one is welcome to sign up for if willing to pay the requested fees (which seem mostly reasonable). This park is primarily big rig and thus we would stay here again. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Coachlight Inn & RV Park, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our short stay as this park is close to Old Mesilla where we have a favorite restaurant. The staff is very friendly and gladly accepted our mail and gave us a quick check in. This park has some residents along the back row, however, all rigs looked keep up well and we felt secure in the area. At this price, for an overnight it worked well for us and we would stay here again as it is much easier to get into than places we have stayed in town. We camped at Coachlight Inn & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Alaskan RV Park, Bowie, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We lucked onto this after we couldn't locate Mount View RV Park (which turned out to be off the main highway instead at the 1120 I-10 address shown on the website). The folks here were very nice and this was just a quick overnight for us. Very quiet park. Excellent drinking water. Easy on and off I-10 on the East end of Bowie. Would definitely stay again if we need an overnight in the area. This is not a scenic area so unless you are looking for extreme rest and relaxation it might not be the park for you. We camped at Alaskan RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our second stay in this park and this time it was just an overnight on our way south for the winter. It is always nice to be greeted by the roadrunners here and the other patrons of the park all seem very friendly. There is easy access to this park, beautiful Arizona sunsets, and nice flat sites with plenty of room. We will stay here again when passing through. Indian Wells RV Resort, Indio, California

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay at this park and lucked out to get assigned the same site we had before. Even though the sites are somewhat narrow we have found it is easy to get into for us (40 ft. fifth wheel). The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will most likely continue to stay here when visiting friends in Palm Desert as it is convenient to them and the businesses in the area. We camped at Indian Wells RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
