Golden Village Palms RV Resort , Hemet, California

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park for active guests. Pickleball, shuffleboard, sand volleyball, pool volleyball, horseshoes, etc. Three large swimming pools and three hot tubs. Very nice grounds, well kept up. Many of the motorhome sites are being remodeled with new surfaces and landscaping. Our site was very large and shaded, # 716, just across the road from the pickleball courts (4 courts with shaded seating). We camped at Golden Village Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Chula Vista RV Resort, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park with a very nice location just off the bay. Spaces however, are very tight. Our rig is 34 feet and we could maneuver ok but the bigger rigs have a tough time. Many cars and pickup trucks are parked halfway in the road because the truck/car and RV do not fit in the space provided.

There is a very nice restaurant on the water (The Galley) walking distance away. Great food and views. We camped at Chula Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Twin Falls / Jerome KOA, Twin Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We chose to use one of the upgraded sites so we wouldn't have to share the "yard" with the rig next to you. The site was adequate for our 34 footer and Jeep. Pretty close to the highway however, so it was noisy. WI-FI was poor, so we used our own hotspot. The men's bathroom was awful. Poorly maintained. One of the pluses for this campground is the full service kitchen available for breakfast and dinner. They will even deliver the food to your rig! We camped at Twin Falls / Jerome KOA in a Motorhome.

Reno Silver Sage RV Park, Reno, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a campground in the normal sense. It is really a paved parking lot with just enough room to back in the rig and park your tow next to it. Barely enough room to extend your slides without encroaching on your neighbor's site (marked by a painted white line). Now the positive: The entire site is walled and gated for security. The best thing about this "park" is that it's located just across the street from the Peppermill Casino which was perfect for us because this is a major spot for the Hot August Nights crowd which included us. This event also accounts for the high daily price of $89. After the event was over, Sunday, the price was only about $33. We camped at Reno Silver Sage RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pine Lawn Ranch (55+ park), Prescott, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Clean older park with mostly permanent, well kept dwellings. Our site, for our 34 footer and Jeep was fairly small but adequate. The bathroom facilities are unusual for a motorhome park: one toilet and one sink. Period. Amazingly, we never had to wait for anyone however. Payment here is cash only. As an earlier reviewer mentioned, this park's main advantage is its close proximity to the town square, 15 min walk or $4.75 taxi each way if you want to experience "Whisky Row" which is highly recommended. We camped at Pine Lawn Ranch (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with gated entry. The office will give you a remote for access so there is no difficulty at all entering the campground as another reviewer complained. We always camp here during the Nellis AFB airshow. Short drive to Las Vegas Motor Speedway where the Air Force buses will pick us up and transfer us to the airfield. Obviously this would be a good location to stay if one is going to the races as well. We camped at Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel in a Motorhome.

Kentucky Lake / I-24 / Paducah KOA, Calvert City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here really in order to see the sights around Paducah. Tight sites but manageable even for big rigs. Ours is 34 feet and I was amazed to see the 40 footers get around this place as well as they did. The community dump was a mess. The restrooms were not clean. The picnic tables in all the sites in our area were unusable unless you don't mind your placing your feet in 10" bug infested grass. No mowing had taken place in quite a while. The staff seem completely overwhelmed with the enormity of the task of keeping up such a large area. They are very friendly and helpful but they really need some help. We camped at Kentucky Lake / I-24 / Paducah KOA in a Motorhome.

Downtown Riverside RV Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We parked right on the bank of the river with the city directly across. Interesting location right downtown. Quite a bit of noise from the nearby interstate but no surprise being so close to town. Easy access to lots of points of interest nearby. Staff was not overly exited to deal with customers but we just shrugged it off. I tried to enjoy the river and city lights the one night we stayed but the bugs overwhelmed. We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Midessa Oil Patch RV Park, Odessa, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Decent park midway between Midland and Odessa. Great location to stop and see the local museums (CAF and the Petroleum). This is a very full park with mostly semi permanent campers with most sites fairly well kept up. Our site was large enough for our MH and Jeep tow but was a little tight getting out due to all the extra cars most sites had. Nice pool with clean, cool water which was much appreciated with the 105 degree days we experienced while here. Wi-Fi was strong. We camped at Midessa Oil Patch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Abilene KOA, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Not a bad stop over park. Our site was pretty narrow for a 34' motorhome with slides. We had to jockey the rig back and forth in order to best align it to allow the slides out and awning. The awning could only be deployed about half way out because of trees. The shade was welcome however. Friendly staff. I was surprised to see the staff cleaning the playground equipment which is painted KOA bright yellow. A nice plus for families. We camped at Abilene KOA in a Motorhome.

Dallas Northeast Campground (formerly Dallas Northeast/Caddo Mills KOA, Caddo Mills, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Decent size sites. Plenty of room for our 34footer and Jeep tow. The pool is among the best I have seen at a campground. Eighty eight thousand gal's and only three years old. Very friendly staff. A great stop to take in the Audie Murphy and Cotton museum nearby. We camped at Dallas Northeast Campground (formerly Dallas Northeast/Caddo Mills KOA in a Motorhome.

Aune-Osborn Campground, Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This park is outstanding for those interested in a riverside environment. Fantastic close up views of the Great Lake ships. Even though we were in the 3rd row back from the shore, we had a decent view of the river since the sites are staggered. And, not all sites are back in as another reviewer mentioned. In fact most motorhomes were situated facing the river. Some 5th wheels had to back in due to some sites proximity to the shore. Modern, clean restrooms and showers. Showers are secured with a combo and are private. No notice of any odors as mentioned by another reviewer. We stayed three nights and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Motorhome.

Munising/Pictured Rocks KOA (Wandering Wheels Campground), Munising, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here with our large back in site (#20). Easy access with a 34 footer. Even much larger would be happy in many of these spots. Wi-Fi was poor here however, probably because of the very thick vegetation and tall trees. Small laundry room. Friendly and helpful staff. We camped at Munising/Pictured Rocks KOA (Wandering Wheels Campground) in a Motorhome.

Grand Island KOA, Doniphan, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very narrow sites in our location. Our awning actually covered part of the adjacent site so much that the incoming motorhome could not pull in. We offered to close our awning but the park management found another site for them instead. I noticed many other similar problems in the park as a result of the narrow sites. The Wi-Fi signal in site #71 was very poor. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.
