The KOA facility is very nice. The site assigned was long (NOT LEVEL) w/all amenities. Considerable blocking was needed to level one side of the RV. That in turn placed the entry steps at a considerable height. I then had to create a series of steps to the entry step......All-in-all a OK overnight albeit a bit pricey.

Date of Stay:

Fairly level (we made it work). All amenities. Easy off/on to the highway. We thought by selecting this facility a few miles off the interstate we'd be free of highway noise. Not so, the highway was close by. Payment is in cash to the owner who takes you to your site. All-in-all a good overnight campground.

Level, long, all amenities. The electric pedestal was not of sufficient height to allow the use of my power cord surge protector. I had to remove my surge protector and plug in - discomforting. Otherwise an OK overnight facility.

Date of Stay:

Somewhat level site (made it work). 50 amps didn't work - management replaced the breaker, and thereafter it was OK. Good as an overnight.

The base itself-camping facility- was very nice. The sites were level, long, with all amenities. It was the getting there that was arduous. Much construction was taking place on roads outside the base with many in/out road cones/markers, and some lanes not marked at all - a real "free-for-all". Couple that with coming into San Antonio on a Friday afternoon at rush hour - should have known better. For a few bucks more I think I'll be staying outside town in a few other places known to be bettter and easier to get into. It's a shame cause a great many other military bases I've experienced have been very pleasant experiences.

The site was long, level with all amenities. No CATV which I look for cause I'm a news junkie. All-in-all, a good over night stop.

A very nice facility, oriented towards senior citizens (55+). The site given was level, long, with all amenities. Good spacing between sites. I thought it a bit pricey, but it's proximity to Las Cruces, and its well kept sites/grounds were worth it.

An excellent facility, excellently managed. There just are not enuff superlatives for this campground and its management. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Thought it a bit pricey in comparison with other facilities we've stopped at. It is a club type association "loners on wheels". The site given was level, with good utilities, albeit somewhat tight with a neighbor to one side. Because of the cost, we won't be choosing this campground again - there are others in the area more spacious for less money.

Very enjoyable campground, even though only overnight. The sites are spacious, long, and level. Easy off/on to I-10, and it's quiet at the site - nice. The campground has new owners who are endeavoring to upgrade the facility. I watched some of their busy industry....Dinner was had the hotel "El Capitan" in Van Horn. Pay attention to the architecture - it's notable. I'm partial to Italian food and the Rigatoni was excellent. Good salad and wine as well. The campground owners will ferry you to the hotel and bring you back - very nice of them. We'll return to this facility as we travel west/east.

A very fine facility. Our site was pull thru, concrete, level, clean, with all amenities. Although we spent the one night just passing through, we took in breakfast at the Silver Wings Cafe overlooking the landing strip with pilots engaged in practicing takeoffs and landings. Got into a breakfast discussion with several pilots at the cafe. Very cool. Don't miss an evening dinner (TexMex) at "Manuels" in Del Rio on 12th street. Get there early as they fill up.

It was a cold, rainy, evening. We were passing through, and the site served us well for that reason. No CATV - (I'm a news junkie, so I look for the TV for that reason). The young man at the check-in counter has an introductory spiel worth listening to (haha). Seems to be a good number of permanent and semi-permanent residents. The site we were given was pull thru, level, and quiet. The sewer hookup was raised approx a foot above ground - might prove a problem for some. A great deal of construction was taking place on I-35 adjacent to the campground but did not impede entry or departure. There is a continental breakfast offered - we did not partake - again, raining and we elected to get on the road.

Date of Stay:

Passing through, used as an overnight. Seemed to be a good number of permanent residents. The site was easy in/out, level, with easy on/off to I20. It was quiet with relatively no road noise. The Catv was marginal.

February...a cold, rainy night. The facility looked to be a great place come warmer weather - the lake, zip line, water ski jump, horse stables - all look to be great fun come summer. As mentioned, we were passing through. Our site (5a) was fine except for intermittent 50 amps throughout the night. Brought it up with park staff as we departed. All-in-all, a nice campground.

Date of Stay:

Very nice facility-clean and well kept. Laundry very reasonable. We had a back in space on a concrete pad with ample room between adjoining spaces (pads). Would definitely stay here again.
