Walnut Hills Campground (formerly Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA), Staunton, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful campground nestled in the mountains of Virginia. The surrounding countryside as you travel to the campground is very scenic with mountains and beautiful farms and cattle fields. Just a few miles from the campground are scenic highways, The Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. Our camp site was on a nice hill overlooking the lake and other campsites. Our site was shaded. Roads throughout the campground were gravel, well maintained, and easy to travel. There is a nice fishing pond, pool, and plenty of activities for adults and kids such as hay ride and karaoke. This was just a wonderful camping experience and one of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed at. What a what a great atmosphere! We camped at Walnut Hills Campground (formerly Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.
