Circle R Campground, Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed a week during EAA airventure this year. No AC allowed this week as campground is filled to capacity. this was detractor as temps were high several days. Site was entirely shaded with full hookup. Water extremely hard with iron. Not campground fault, just the water. Excellent store on location, laundry is fair at best. Had to back in site but had full hookup rather than just power. Folks operating are very nice and outgoing. Will stay here again. We camped at Circle R Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lazy Day Campground, Danville, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Located about a mile off exit on south side of I-70 at Danville exit. Steep entrace hill, all gravel sites. Most were at least partially shaded, our pull thru site was shaded for most of morning and late afternoon. Owners were very cordial and guided us to the site and helped position rig. Was very quiet campground. We will stay again when in the area. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Dubuque Yacht Basin and RV Park, Dubuque, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is located adjacent to the Mississippi river with a nice view of river. Nice flat site, no sewer available, water and power connections in pretty poor shape. A lot of permanent RVs as it has good boat ramp. Rather loud partying till about 10pm. Entrance is rather tight between gates. Not bad location as there are few alternatives in the area. Would use again if passing thru. We camped at Dubuque Yacht Basin and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Worlds of Fun Village, Kansas City, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

New park on the grounds of Worlds of Fun themepark. The campground is situated on a very steep sloping site with a looping road down and back up the site. All sites are concrete pads parallel to the side of the hill. Mine was more unlevel than many gravel sites I've found. Excellent hookup connections and overall layout is good. Facilities include small store, laundry, and showers along with nice pool. Overall good experience, but very expensive compared to most other locations. Don't go unless you are going thru park. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Fifth Wheel.
