Villa Serena RV Park, Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur

Date of Stay: February, 2010 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Nice location just outside of Cabo San Lucas on "corridor" between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo. About 2 miles east of Vagabundos RV Park which has previously been reviewed. Much more "roomy feeling" than Vagabundos. Some sites have distant views of the Sea of Cortez and some have beautiful shrubbery. Electricity (15 amp only) measured at 130 volts which we found typical in the Baja. Zero enforcement of "dog on leash rule". Very poor laundry facilities. We camped at Villa Serena RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly Acres RV Park, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one week to do our shopping and get ready to go into Mexico with a caravan of other RVs. It was perfect for this purpose as it was very convenient to shopping (mostly at the Super Wal-Mart and Sam's Club). The laundry facilities were very nice and fairly priced. We were also pleased with their "dog management". As we understand it, dogs have a designated area to be "walked" and can not be walked through the campground. The pool and hot tubs were clean and well heated. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Diego Metro KOA, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We are not used to paying this much ($40 per night) but needed to stay here to link up with others for Mexico RV caravan. It was an OK place to stay and was very convenient to the border and for last minute shopping. We camped at San Diego Metro KOA in a Motorhome.

Lone Star Lakes RV Park, New Caney, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for four days to make last minute preparations prior to leaving for a cruise. It was a very convenient location for shopping and everything else that we needed to do. Also convenient to the Bush Intercontinental Airport, of which we flew out. The owners were extremely nice and let us park our motorhome in their parking area for only $5 per day while we were gone on the cruise. We stayed for two more days upon our return. It was raining heavily and there was a lot of standing water so they need better drainage. Also we could never get on the internet for some reason. They had good laundry facilities and it was nice and quiet here. We camped at Lone Star Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.
