River View RV Park & Resort, Vidalia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are mostly long level pull-thru, ours was first row facing the Mississippi River. All utilities worked fine. The whole area was clean and grass mowed. There is a river walk along the river; about a mile long. Dark and quiet at night. Would stay here if ever in the area. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is quite a bit of barge river traffic, which I enjoyed watching. The river walk in Natchez is bi-level, upper and lower, is a nice walk. There are a couple of museum up the road in Ferriday. The one in town is the Jerry Lee Lewis, Jimmy Swaggart and Mickey Gilly, open Wednesday through Saturday. Out of town is an outdoor cotton plantation tour. (Frogmore).

Pontchartrain Landing, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This would be a great CG if it wasn't for the dusty gravel interior roads. Pad are fairly level gravel. We were on the water so the dust wasn't too bad. Utilities all worked good. WIFI at site was very slow, but usable. Would stay here again if in area. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

Hidden Valley Camping Resort, Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

A fairly quiet campground. We stayed in the group area. Water and electric worked well. No WIFI at sites, cable TV was iffy +/- 20 channels. Sites were close, but mostly level grass. There are close to 400 permanent sites throughout the resort, with a lot of golf carts, which didn't cause any problems. I will stay here again. We camped at Hidden Valley Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Sheshequin Campground, Trout Run, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The group camping sites are in an open grass field, which was mowed. They are so so for being level The road in the CG is gravel and a little dusty. No TV, NO Cell (AT&T). There is fairly good WIFI. There in not much to do in the area, so get your walking shoes on and talk to the neighbors. There is a nice pavilion to eat and visit. There is a lot for the young..... basketball, soccer, nice playground and fishing in a great stream. Sites have W/E with a dump station in the CG. I always like coming here. We camped at Sheshequin Campground in a Motorhome.

Ives Run COE, Tioga, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

All roads are paved except to the tenting area that has no hookups. Sites are paved and for the most part level, some shaded and some in the open. Full hookups on most sites, the W/E sites are mostly quite nice. If full site was not available I'd definitely stay in a W/E site. No Cell (AT&T), 5 TV channels, No WIFI. Our site was roomy, level, quiet and semi-shaded. We camped at Ives Run COE in a Motorhome.

Camp Elmbois, Hammondsport, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A gem in the woods. Entrance road and sites graveled. Sites have W/E only, no dump station (maybe next year). Owner will dump you anytime you want at no charge. Quiet...No TV, No cell, No WIFI. Owners were busy everyday keeping up with the grounds. I'd stay here again, in a New York minute. We camped at Camp Elmbois in a Motorhome.

Nelson's Family Campground, East Hampton, Connecticut

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

A fairly large campground with mostly seasonal camper, of which all were well kept. Open or shady sites available. Good gravel interior roads, site pad also gravel. Wifi not good. Check-in went smooth. Nice playground and swimming pool. Would/will stay again if in the area. We camped at Nelson's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Country Acres Campground, Gordonville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice campground in the heart of Amish country. Wi-Fi is to get your email only. Signal was excellent, but you cannot surf the net. Restroom and showers very clean. The only thing stopping a 10 rating is the gravel pad. I will stay here again. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Fantasy Island Campground, Sunbury, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Wi-Fi worked good. The site I was on had a concrete pad. Water, sewer, and electric all worked as they should. The location for this campground is along the Susquehanna River and next to a state park. Also a great little ice cream shop next door. I'd stay here again. We camped at Fantasy Island Campground in a Motorhome.

All sites in our section were concrete and easy to level. They are close to each other, but livable. WIFI was not too good at our site. Cable TV had all the channels. Campground was very quiet at night. The beach was 140 feet from our site. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA, Staunton, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

At check in I was told the rate would be 31 (no sewer) and 33 (with sewer) I told the gal I'd take sewer. I was charged 45? I guess when I said I didn't want to renew my membership, they got the money anyway. Showers and restrooms clean but dated. The interior roads were gravel, dirt, ruts and more ruts. The site had no table and the neighbor's sewer hose connection was 8 feet from my front door. My sewer connection was too far away to use. I certainly would not stay again. We camped at Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA in a Motorhome.
