Kentucky Lakes / Prizer Point KOA, Cadiz, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

If a view of the lake is your thing, this place gets a 10. I called to inquire about staying one night, was there wi-fi? - yes, was there cable? - yes, lake front? - yes. Get there during the day, because you won't find it in the dark. We got there and picked out a site, beautiful lake front 25' from the water. We got completely setup, last thing was the cable. No cable, staff said we've been having trouble in that area of the park but we could move our rig to another site. We'll have it looked into tommorrow, well we'll be gone tommorrow. So we got out the lap top, no wi-fi, they didn't mention it was a paid for service. I go up to the office, they close at 6pm and it's 6:15pm. Their restaurant advertises breakfast, lunch and dinner. We planned all day on eating there, only to find out the place closes also at 6pm. We did see a beautiful sunset, and had a great campfire until the mosquitoes drove us inside. Not a good place for quick highway entrance and exit and a bit overpriced for the services. We camped at Kentucky Lakes / Prizer Point KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Natural Springs Resort, New Paris, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stay there July 30, 2005. We were on our way to PA, and it was our first long trip. My wife and I with our 15 year old triplets, stayed there one night. Being our first stay in a campground, we were more than pleasantly surprised at the camps friendly staff and clean campsites. With access to both a swimming lake and swimming pool, the kids were in heaven. We go to Pa every year, so this campground will be a yearly stop. Free cookie and free Wi-Fi, along with the great family atmosphere are among the reasons we'll be back. We camped at Natural Springs Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
