St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA, Eureka, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The folks here were very friendly and the camp was quite busy, right on rt. 66. Nice facilities, pool, nice gift shop with supplies, our site was a bit in need of some fresh gravel (little muddy). The bathrooms and showers are in need of updating (old formica, old tile floors) but clean enough to use and were comfortable. We would stay here again. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Straits State Park, Saint Ignace, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Park was clean and nice. Help here was nice enough, not the friendliest around, but I'm a southerner and I am used to a little bit more warmth than you get from service folks in this area of the country. One thing about the park, there were so many trees, we were not able to fold out our awning, so there is good and bad with all the trees. Beautiful view of the bridge from this park. Very convenient to ferrys to the island, and the town of St. Ignace. We camped at Straits State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Buffalo Bill State Park, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here as a vacation spot between Cody and Yellowstone, and as far as the park it was great. Basically we had reservations, and arrived, found our site late at night and set up. Never saw anyone for 2 days, found our name on a check in sheet taped to the booth later lol. Park was very clean, beautiful setting. We stayed at the North Fork side, highly recommend. We camped at Buffalo Bill State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Quick tip...if you are using this camp as a base for seeing Yellowstone, know the drive to the park daily is 2 hours one way because of curvy roads, be advised!

Ozark RV Park, Mountain View, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on July 4th weekend and had a wonderful time. The park is basically connected to the Folk Center by a walk gate. The folks here treat you like family, having cook outs, and inviting us to personal meals etc. Park was clean, spaces a little small, but not crowded so was no big deal. No fire rings, but was a dry weekend and a fire was not a good idea anyway. Very much recommend. We camped at Ozark RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pikes Peak RV Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The owners really make this a nice park. We were here during the flooding of another park in September and had to change our plans to Manitou, and the owners of this park were very nice. Only complaint is it is a bit close to Hwy 24, so it can be a bit noisy at night in our Pop up, but all in all would HIGHLY recommend. We camped at Pikes Peak RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pine Mountain RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean facilities. Far enough off the strip to be quit, but not too far to get to everything, very close actually. We loved the fact they had camp fire rings, we love having a camp fire. Was a little loud on the holiday weekend, the quiet time hours weren't very observed by other campers. All in all we loved the campground and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Queen Wilhelmina State Park, Mena, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Sites are nice and shaded. Lots of fun things to do at the state park: train rides around the park for kids, a soda fountain, and the lodge and restaurant are all a short walk from the campground. I would have given this campground a ten, but I have one complaint and it may be petty. The shower head in the showers are very old and cannot be adjusted. They pretty much spray you in the face the entire time you are showering. Other than that, this is a great campground. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Very much recommend. We camped at Queen Wilhelmina State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Petit Jean State Park, Morrilton, Arkansas

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is the third time we have camped here and it was wonderful as always. Just a word of warning, the lodge and restaurant are closed throughout 2011 for renovation, but the staff at the visitor center was friendly as always. The bathhouse at campsite B could use a little renovation as well. There were hardly any campers this time of year, and only A and B are open. Highly recommend this state park! We camped at Petit Jean State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Mount Magazine State Park, Paris, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on July 4th weekend and it was very clean, very quiet, and very peaceful. Since there are only 18 camp sites, there was not a lot people. The over looks are beautiful and the temperatures were great, which is unusual for Arkansas! I would highly recommend this park for someone seeking a great camping experience, although if you want someplace to entertain small kids, this isn't it. The trails here are nice too.We camped here in a pop up. We camped at Mount Magazine State Park in a Tent Trailer.
