Kalaloch Campground (NPS Campground), Olympic National Park, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Busy campground most of the year. Located right on highway, can be noisy. Has difficult beach access. Must climb over huge driftwood piles. No wheelchair access to beach. No hook-ups and no public showers. Bring your allergy meds. Campfire smoke gets really thick. We love it but always visit in the off season when it is cold and wet, and the campground only fills up on weekends. We camped at Kalaloch Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Le Sage Riviera RV Park, Grover Beach, California

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Park is not close to the beach. This campground is just a gravel lot with RV sites. Looked clean but it was cramped. We forfeited. Like a campground with a bit of breathing room and maybe a dab of grass. We camped at Le Sage Riviera RV Park in a Motorhome.

Morro Dunes RV Park, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very cramped, noisy RV park. There is a water treatment plant nearby. Park has a gravel yard and is located across the road from the beach, but no view. We forfeited our deposit rather than stay here. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oceanside RV Park, Gold Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Good price but the best sites do not have power and sewer. This camp is nearly empty, so it's very quiet. Not fancy, with gravel and grass. It's close to beach with very nice staff. Do not use the clothes dryers. They get much too hot. Bathrooms are clean but old, not very attractive. We will definitely visit again. You might want to skip the Port Hole restaurant nearby. Food was okay but pricey. Fish tasted and looked exactly like the frozen fish from a chain market. Jumbo shrimp were very small. Had great staff though. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Francisco RV Resort, Pacifica, California

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Located on the water but the beach is not accessible. Staff is very nice. Camp is overpriced. There are many full timers and lots of street noise. We have watched this campground go downhill over the years, and the price rise. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.
