Kingman KOA, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We make two trips a year through Kingman and usually stay elsewhere but we found our usual park full so we took a chance staying here. Price was a bit high for the amenities in the park but such is KOA. Lots of permanent residents here and they appeared to be orderly and neat. Site was groomed dirt and gravel, level, and the cable was good. Shared utility posts but in the area we were assigned, we did not have next door neighbors. Pet area was large, clean, and stocked with poop bags. Staff was friendly and helpful. Did not notice road noise at night. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and we will return. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Motorhome.

We always enjoy the chicken and red beans and rice from Popeye's at the TA in town. Bought gas at the Love's gas/diesel station just east of town.

Whiskey Flats RV Park, Hawthorne, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here before and expected a lot of road noise at night, but this time it was not as bad. Gravel access, so unhook your toad at registration. Gravel sites with good utilities and cable tv. Decent Verizon signal. Did not use park WiFi so we cannot comment. No defined pet area or sanitary stations so you are on your own as far as pet clean up. Good park to overnight or get off the road due to weather/wind. We would stay here again. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Flagstaff KOA, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is in a wooded area off of Highway 89. We chose a site at the back of the park to minimize highway noise. Our site was not level at all. Yes, the roads are tight but we had no problem following the painted arrows on the road to our site. We saw lots of bigger rigs with toads that carefully made their way through the park to leave in the morning. Utilities and cable were oddly positioned for our 24 foot motorhome/toad but we had no problem hooking up with normal connections. There appears to be a number of long term residents but they keep their areas neat and tidy. At 6 am, a full sized school bus came through the park picking up children for school but it was not necessarily noisey or disturbing. The pet area near our site was not clearly defined or fenced but there was a station with supplies for keeping up after your dog. Pricey but not bad for an overnight stay. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Albuquerque Central KOA, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

A little pricey for what you get at your site. Paved road, solid surface site with good utilities and cable. Did not use park WiFi so we cannot comment but did have a good Verizon signal. Tight roads, tight spaces. Good fenced dog area with supplies to clean up after your pet. In a neighborhood of homes. Quiet park with lots of long term residents who keep their lots nice and neat. We would stay here again. We camped at Albuquerque Central KOA in a Motorhome.

Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center, Shawnee, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 10 nights during our RV club's convention. Our site was fairly level with good utilities. No cable but on-air TV was adequate. Space between sites was grass and the road running through the park was hard pack dirt/gravel which made it dusty. Did not use park WiFi so cannot comment. It was our observation that some areas of the park were more level than others. This is a great spot for a convention as the Expo hall is fairly modern and the staff very helpful. Nearby grocery shopping, dining and there are washers and dryers at every comfort station
throughout the park. We would stay here again, convention or not. We camped at Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center in a Motorhome.

Oklahoma City East KOA, Choctaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 nights. Site was gravel, level, and utilities and cable worked well. Used our own Verizon MiFi so cannot comment on park WiFi. Sewer access did not have a cover so we hooked up our sewer hose (with valves shut) to avoid smelling sewer gases. Dog run was fenced and provided necessary supplies to clean up after your dog. Lots of families in cabins and sites that appeared to have long term renters. Quiet park in a wooded setting. Satellite reception might be problematic. We would stay here again. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Motorhome.

Amarillo KOA, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night and then again for one night 2 weeks apart. Gravel level lot. Good utilities and cable. Used our own WiFi so cannot comment on park WiFi. Had a good Verizon signal. Big rigs should have no problem traversing this mostly pull-thru park. Nice fenced dog area with poop bags and trash cans for easy clean up after your pet. Nice park with one drawback; it is very close to the airport. Lots of private jet and military jet traffic which is drowned out by A/C but if you aren't using A/C or heat strip, is very loud. We would stay here again, but be prepared for jet airplane noise. We camped at Amarillo KOA in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Dirt/pea gravel site, fairly level. Utilities worked well. Cable was good. Pull thru site. Did not use park WiFi so cannot comment. Decent Verizon signal. Pet area was unfenced and not everyone picked up after their dog. Park was quiet. This was a decent overnight park with a BBQ restaurant on the premises. Rib dinner was very meaty and tender but kind of bland. We ordered out so maybe if you dine in you have sauces to choose from. Plenty of food for the price. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night on the last day of the Balloon Festival in Albuquerque so it was quite crowded. All the utilities worked well with shared electric poles and water risers. Dirt lot fairly level. Due to the amount of rigs in the park, it felt like we were stacked like cord wood with the spots close together. Our spot was pull through. Nice big fenced dog run. Park was a little noisey but that was to be expected with every spot filled. Not thrilled with this park and would probably not stay here again unless we had to. Did not use park WiFi so cannot comment. Good Verizon signal. Cable worked well. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

J & H RV Park (55 + Park), Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

A little pricey but a very well-maintained park. We are 24 feet long plus a toad so we had a back-in space. Roads are a little tight for bigger rigs but pull-thrus are available for longer rigs. Utilities and sewer were good as well as cable. We use Verizon WiFi which had a decent signal. Cannot comment on park WiFi as we did not use it. Yes, this is a 55+ park but that suits us just fine. Plenty of other choices if you have youngsters with you. Lots of trees so satellite reception is not good. A nice quiet park if you are in town for a few days of sightseeing. We would stay here again. We camped at J & H RV Park (55 + Park) in a Motorhome.

Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here multiple times and it is always a very pleasant experience. Gravel level lots, all pull thru and you are assigned spots according to rig or rig combo size. The pet area is very big and fenced so your dog may be off leash. Water, electric, sewer well located. Good cable and Verizon signal good. We don't use park WiFi so cannot comment. This is a great overnight stay with fuel nearby. The park sells propane also. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a destination but is good for an overnight stay. Gravel roads and sites, shared WE posts. Sewer connection was odd in that it required waste to flow uphill. Because utilities are shared, your coach door opens out to the neighbor's coach door so you get to know your neighbor. Place was quiet and it is clear that this park and its owners are trying to make it a nice place to stay but there is still some work to do. Permanents are separated from the overnighters but there is only one laundry and the permanent residents kept the machines busy. Area is industrial in nature. Visit nearby Green River for a nice little town atmosphere. We would stay here again but only for overnight. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park with asphalt roads, and concrete sites with FHU and big rig friendly roads and sites. Verizon mifi received 4G signal. Well away from freeway noise. Friendly staff and pride of ownership makes this park look fresh and clean. Close to grocery shopping and fast food as well as fuel. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pocatello KOA (Formerly Pocatello Creek Campground and RV Park), Pocatello, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was helpful, decent store, okay laundry (needed cleaning), gravel roads and dirt sites. Shared utilities so patio areas are shared as well. Treed park that was quiet and orderly. Gas pumps available to fill up before you pull out. Some permanent residents kept the laundry busy making it difficult for us overnighters to get laundry done. Close to restaurants, stores and Pocatello city proper. No road noise or trains to contend with. We would stay here again. We camped at Pocatello KOA (Formerly Pocatello Creek Campground and RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Friendly, efficient staff, nice store, clean laundry, plenty of room between sites. Gravel roads and sites. FHU utilities in good working order. Verizon mifi worked well. Clean and quiet. Lots of big rigs had plenty of room for length and slides. Fuel located nearby. We would stay here again. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.
