RedRock RV Park, Island Park, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

The owners/hosts are this park are informed and helpful about the area. The park itself is gravel roads with potholes, all side by side hookups which does allow for a large "front" yard. The large yards encourage large groups and large groups are loud. Quiet hours were not enforced. The one garbage trailer was missing when we departed so there was nowhere to leave our garbage. Quiet is not the word I would use to describe this park. Lots of ATVs being driven around, mostly by the employees. Children riding bikes and skidding through the gravel. The trailer across from us left their dogs out for hours and they were barking constantly. Out of a two month trip this was the least desirable campground we stayed at. We would not stay here again. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pony Express RV Resort, North Salt Lake, Utah

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Great pull through sites. Had a complicated reservation as we are leaving our rig here and flying elsewhere for a week. Employee at the front desk handled this beautifully and gave us a great price for the week we will not be here. Couldn't have asked for more. Park is situated between two freeways so there is some traffic noise, but ideally situated for sightseeing in the Salt Lake area. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Maria Pines RV Park (Closed), Santa Maria, California

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is the only public campground in Santa Maria. Sites were large, the office has rather strange hours and when closed no information is posted about finding a site. Not the best part of town. That said, we had a good stay. Everything worked properly and nice pine trees all over. We camped at Santa Maria Pines RV Park (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

Gilroy Garlic USA RV Park, Gilroy, California

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The manager of this campground is the most rude individual I have ever met. When I inquired why I wasn't given the $29.00 rate advertised on the large sign out front, he shook his finger at me and invited me go to elsewhere. Since the office was closed when we arrived the night before, we were already unhooked so I just put up with the rudeness. He was really a little frightening. Would not stay here again. The park seems to cater to monthly renters. The wifi was slow. We camped at Gilroy Garlic USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
