Northern Nights RV Campground, Glennallen, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I had a pull through gravel site with water and electric. Due to the tundra settling, I needed one two inch board and 1, one inch board to level the low side of my site. I also needed two 6X6's under my tongue to bring the trailer up seven inches to level. The other two rigs with me had sites that were level side to side and front to back. The site has a large well built picnic table and a fire pit. There are trees around the site and the roads are easy to navigate. Our site only had water and electric. A free dump sites available when driving out. We were there for a free desert night. The home made rhubarb pie and home made rhubarb ice cream were delicious. We camped at Northern Nights RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain View RV Park, Palmer, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Had a level, grass, pull through site. There was a picnic table. WI-FI was generally very good. AT&T works well. Gravel roads are wide and easy to navigate. There are no trees. Nine, over the air digital TV channels. Great view of the surrounding mountains. RV Park is about 4 miles out of town but it is very quiet. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Homer/Baycrest KOA (formerly Baycrest RV Park), Homer, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I had a level, back in, gravel site. It was necessary to turn my rig 180 degrees to back into my site. There was a picnic table and fire pit. I had a pie shaped site so parking my truck was a little weird to not block the sites on either side of me. As other have stated, the view from the cliffs was fantastic. I was on the lower tier. AT&T worked well. The WI-FI was fine. We camped at Homer/Baycrest KOA (formerly Baycrest RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Stoney Creek RV Park, Seward, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Had a level, gravel, back in site. My site had electric, water and cable. A free dump site is available when leaving. There was a brand, new, plastic, picnic table. The site was wide and very easy to back into. There was a small grass berm behind my site with a fire pit. AT&T worked very well. The WI-FI was temperamental, but when I got connected the WI-FI worked very well. The mountains surrounding the park are beautiful. The access roads and interior roads are gravel, but if you drive slowly, the roads are fine. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Golden Nugget RV Park, Anchorage, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I had a back in gravel site. It took one, 1 inch board to level side to side. Small patch of grass on each side of trailer; there was a picnic table provided. AT&T worked very well. WI-FI was excellent on both my cell phone and laptop. About 11 over the air TV stations. Would stay here again if traveling through. We camped at Golden Nugget RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Denali Rainbow Village & RV Park (Privately Owned), Denali National Park, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

I had a gravel, back in site that took two 1 inch boards and one 1/2 inch board to bring my trailer to level. The pull through spots have electric & water only. The Park is a gravel parking lot, that jams the trailers in. AT&T worked well. The WI-FI was horrible. Nobody in our group could hook up to the WI-FI. The best thing is this is the closest RV Park to Denali with hookups. The location, in my mind, off sets all the negatives about the park. We camped at Denali Rainbow Village & RV Park (Privately Owned) in a Travel Trailer.

River's Edge Resort, Fairbanks, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

I was given a "deluxe," pull through site. The site was gravel. I needed a one inch board to level my trailer side to side. There was grass on both side of the gravel pad; there were trees at the front edge of the site. A beat-up picnic table was provided. The site was a maximum of 55 feet long. The Tengo WI-FI was terrible. The WI-FI was either very slow or you could not hook up to it. My AT&T phone and data worked well. I had clearer reception and more channels using my HD antenna rather than the cable that was provided. For the cost, I expected better accommodations. We camped at River's Edge Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Sourdough Campground, Tok, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Had a level, pull through site. Trees were on both sides of site. Site was about 70 feet long. AT&T worked well. WI-FI worked well most of the time. Campground was well designed and easy to maneuver rigs on the interior roads. Owners of the park were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Travel Trailer.

They have a nice cafe on site. Th menu is limited, but the dinner and breakfast I had were excellent. The food and sour dough bread were homemade. There is a pancake toss every evening at 7:30 pm. Throw a pancake in a bucket and win a free breakfast. The pancake toss is a fun event and allows you to meet other campers.

Cottonwood RV Park, Destruction Bay, Yukon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Had a pull through gravel site with a great view of the lake in one direction and the surrounding mountains in the other direction. Payment is cash or Travelers Checks only. My site had 15 amp and water. There was a nice picnic table at the site. The place is so beautiful, it is a great place to stop. WI-FI on the deck was slow but adequate for emails. No AT&T service. The park has a miniature golf course, a horse shoe pit and a tremendous amount of beach on the lake. The night we were there, there was live music on the deck. Bring binoculars to watch for Dall sheep on the mountains across the road from the park.

Hi Country RV Park, Whitehorse, Yukon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Had a level, dirt and gravel pull through site. There were trees on each side of my site. A picnic table was provided. The sewer dump was to the front of the site. I barely reached the dump with 20 feet of sewer hose. Staff in the office was very helpful. Good clean laundry room. One half hour of free WI-FI every 24 hours. WI-FI worked well. 28 cable channels. Had a level pull through site. I only had water and 20 amp electricity. There was a picnic table. Beautiful view of lake. Dump station can be used on the way out. WI-FI was in the restaurant; I did not try to connect to the WI-FI. Good spot for a one night stop over. We camped at Yukon Motel & Lakeshore Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Downtown RV Park, Watson Lake, Yukon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Basically a large dirt lot. I had a pull through dirt site that needed a 1 inch board to level side to side. RV's are jammed next to each other. Free 1 hour WI-FI did not work. Office staff blamed my Apple computer. Could not open awning without hitting trailer next to me. One wooden post divides each site. We camped at Downtown RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Northern Rockies Lodge , Muncho Lake, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through, gravel site with beautiful view of lake. Needed two, 1 inch boards to level side to side and had to raise the ball of my connected truck two inches to level the trailer from to back. Nice picnic table. No AT&T. Free 100 megabytes of WI-FI was provided. This park has one of the most beautiful views of scenery I had ever had. The woman at the desk was a disgrace. She was slow and acted like she was doing everybody in line a favor by being there. For the price, I would stay at another park in the area if passing through again. We camped at Northern Rockies Lodge in a Travel Trailer.

Triple G Hideaway, Fort Nelson, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Had a pull through site since there was no one already in our site. The pull throughs are back to back, so a second RV must back in. The site was gravel and took a one inch board to level side to side. The cable was OK. The WI-FI was difficult to hook up to, but if you got on, the WI-FI was OK. There is grass on each side of the site and a picnic table with a fire pit. Nice park. Some sites had trees; our site was in direct sun. We camped at Triple G Hideaway in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Had a pull through, dirt and gravel site. Needed a 1 inch board to level side to side. Electricity only. There was a picnic table and fire pit. Beautiful view of the Sikanni Chief River; the river was about 20 yards from our spot. Good spot to stop for a night. Some highway noise, but not bad. This is an old campground that needs lots of work, but it was fine for one night. The beautiful location made up for the campground.
