Mazama Village (NPS Campground), Crater Lake National Park, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Had a 25 foot travel trailer. Obtained reservations online and had to check in at campground. Were given color yellow and told to take any yellow site that was not occupied. Very strange. Had dirt & asphalt pull through site. Needed 1 inch board to level side to side. Picnic table, fire pit and bear locker was provided. Lots of space between sites. Neither AT&T or Verizon got service. Campground is close to rim drive and Crater Lake Village. Loops A-G are big rig accessible if you drive carefully. Yellow sites are for "smaller RV's", Red sites are for larger RV's. There is only water and electricity in handicapped sites. We camped at Mazama Village (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Toutle River RV Resort, Castle Rock, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Flat, level, gravel, pull through site surrounded by grass. The site was about 80 feet long. Our site had a BBQ, picnic table and a fire pit. There is a well stocked store and the staff was helpful in planning site seeing excursions. There is freeway noise and train noise. I am a sound sleeper so the train noise and whistle did not bother me. The freeway noise varies depending on the level of traffic. The park has many amenities that we did not use. Very convenient to the freeway. I stayed here three nights while exploring the area. I would stay here again. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Coulee Playland Resort, Electric City, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We were given a dirt pull through site. There was no picnic table or shade. The electric & water connections were one one side of the trailer, the sewer connection was on the other side of the trailer. I had to run either the electric and water lines under the trailer or the sewer line under the trailer. It took a 1 inch board to level my trailer side to side. AT&T worked well, I was unable to hook up to WI-FI. Even though the site was a pull through, I had to back & maneuver to get my trailer in the site. Dust flew everywhere when ever a vehicle drove into the lot. I will never return. We camped at Coulee Playland Resort in a Travel Trailer.

West Glacier KOA, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

We made reservations for three nights, but had to move after two nights. Our first site #150 was in direct sun but level. Our second site # 52 was in the shade but the trailer pad was not level side to side. We had dinner at the KOA cafe and it was pretty good. Price is high. Very convenient but not a destination resort. AT&T worked well. WI-FI was intermitent. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Great Falls KOA, Great Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

I have a 25 foot travel trailer and we were in the old part of the campground. I was in a level, gravel, pull through site that was just long enough, about 55 feet to avoid unhooking my truck. We had grass on both sides with trees and bushes for shade and privacy from our neighbors. This KOA has the best children's swimming pool I have seen. The petting zoo, evening singers and pancake breakfast were first rate. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Had a flat, level, gravel, back in site approximately 70 ft long. There was grass on both sides of the trailer pad. Did not have to disconnect tow vehicle. WI-FI and AT&T worked well. Our site had picnic table & swing. A tree provided afternoon shade. Would stay here again. We camped at Grandview Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Black Hills Whispering Pines, Silver City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We had a flat, level, gravel, pull through site. There was grass on both sides. There was a picnic table. We received heavy thunder storms every day; the park drained well. The park is about 21 miles from Rapid City. The park is in he woods, in the middle of the Black Hills. The camp is much closer to Silver City. AT&T and WI-FI worked well. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable in suggesting ways to link sight seeing attractions in the area. The spot was about 60 feet long. We camped at Black Hills Whispering Pines in a Travel Trailer.

Sioux Falls KOA, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Had flat, level, pull through site that allowed me to keep my tow vehicle hooked up for a one night stay. Each site had a wooden picnic table. The staff was professional and the grounds were clean. We were provided an exit map and given two sets of ear plugs. The freeway is close and some what noisy but the freeway did not disturb my sleep. The laundry room was clean and all the machines worked. A very nice space for a one or two night layover. WI-Fi and AT&T phone service worked very well. We camped at Sioux Falls KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Camp Scholler, Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived for the EAA Air Show and stayed for 8 nights. You must be an EAA member to use the campground. Check-in was efficient. We were told to go to the right and pick any 20 X 30 foot of lawn we wanted. We found a patch of lawn between two trees that provided some shade. There are no services unless you chose to purchase an electric and water site for $67.00 a night. This is the campground if you want to see the EAA Air Show without moving your car. There is a multi lane dump station and numerous fresh water fill up stations. Tips: bring a gray water dump container, a generator for power, rope to mark your space, stakes, and containers to haul fresh water. We camped at Camp Scholler in a Travel Trailer.

West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA, Gretna, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park: Flat, level gravel pull through site that was just long enough so I did not have to unhook my truck from my trailer. Site had wooden deck with a nice wooden picnic table. There was also a BBQ and fire pit on the site. Spots are close together, we were led to our spot by a KOA staff member which made maneuvering into the site very easy. It feels if you are in the country, but you can definitely hear the freeway. The swimming pool was clean and pleasant. We ordered a pizza from the office, that was delivered to our site. The pizza was excellent and the price was reasonable. The campground is full of mature trees. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Travel Trailer.

McGreer Camper Park, Big Springs, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Drive through grass and dirt site. We were off level over an inch side to side. Had a nice tree for shade. AT&T was excellent. WI-FI was very good. There were no numbers on the site so I can't provide a site number. A fair amount of road noise from US 80. Noise was something we got used to quickly. For the Passport America price, well worth it for one night. No picnic table was provided for our site but there were picnic tables scattered around. We camped at McGreer Camper Park in a Travel Trailer.

Confirmed there was space prior to our arrival. Received good phone directions. Very long, dirt and grass, level spot. Lots of room to maneuver. Lots of shade trees. Wooden picnic table was provided. About 1/2 the park appeared to be permanent residents. They were not a problem. OK for a one night stay. We camped at Fort Bridger RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.
