Eagle's Nest RV Park, Tionesta, California

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $99.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of those true "finds" in an RV park. We're not talking RV "resort" here -- just a wonderfully serene setting with unusually friendly folks running it. With the Lava Beds NM nearby, there's plenty of area to explore here. Many RVers will resonate with the ambiance here, and have a sense that this is what RVing is all about. We've been there on multiple occasions, and enjoyed it thoroughly. We camped at Eagle's Nest RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Sumpter Pines RV Park, Sumpter, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

What a delightful find this is, just one mile east of the old town of Sumpter. Big rigs will love the options. Lots of shade from the pine forest, and the facilities are immaculately maintained by the on-site owners/managers. The Elkhorn Loop, an Oregon Scenic Byway, will take one day to complete -- and this is the right spot to stay while doing it. Excellent trout fishing about 10 miles east in the Powder River, just below the dam. We camped at Sumpter Pines RV Park in a Truck Camper.
