River Rim Resort, Concan, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We have been here for 3 nights and will be here another 4 nights. If you pay for 6 nights, you get the 7th night free. If you are looking for an on-site gift shop, preplanned entertainment, crowds, noise or a nearby mall, this is NOT your destination. If you like unobstructed views of a night sky so full of stars you can almost touch them, this is your spot. If you want so much quiet you can hear your own heartbeat from the other side of the park, its here. Bring your camera because you will fill up the memory with the most amazing images from here and nearby venues. The owners are top notch and we will absolutely be back. We camped at River Rim Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Pioneer Beach Resort, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This was our fourth Memorial Day weekend in this park but a new rule has been instituted that will probably make this our last stay. Since our kids live in nearby Corpus Christi, we invite them to have dinner with us one evening. The new rule charges all visitors $10 just to enter Pioneer Beach Resort, even if they are only staying a couple of hours. We realize the economy is in a downturn but we cannot abide this over-reaching tactic. Adios Pioneer Beach Resort. We camped at Pioneer Beach Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Matagorda Bay Nature Park, Matagorda, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We thoroughly enjoyed our first weekend in Matagorda. The park was very clean. Our site (#5) was level and provided ample space for our 36' fifth wheel and pickup. There were three other trailers in our caravan and all of us agreed we would certainly camp here again. We camped at Matagorda Bay Nature Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed at Rayford Crossing RV Resort several times and enjoyed each stay. The staff is always very attentive and eager to assure our satisfaction. Some spaces are not level but the slant is easily overcome. The park is always clean and access couldn't be easier. We will definitely return.
