Maple Leaf RV Park, Morgan Hill, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

I really did not enjoy this park. We have a 40 foot fifth wheel and the spacing between the sites and most of the roads are just too incredibly tight. It was just very uncomfortable staying here for a week. Most of the folks that are here are semi permanents working in the area....some take care of their site, others not so much. On the plus side, most of the sites have concrete pads and artificial grass. We just barely fit on our site and if I would have wanted to sit outside my feet would have been at my neighbor's sewer connection. We would not stay here again and would not recommend this park to those traveling. It is a shame really...this could be a decent enough place for an overnight, if not for being shoved in here like sardines! We camped at Maple Leaf RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Onapa RV Park and Campground, Checotah, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in very poor shape. There are many permanent trailers here and most are run down with a lot of trash around them. Dogs and cats run loose. The website for this campground is misleading in that the photos don't show you the surrounding trashy trailers. To be fair, there are a few level pull throughs, internet is good, and the park personal is friendly. I just felt uncomfortable here. Our rate reflects Passport America discount. I would not stay here again unless I absolutely had no other option. We camped at Onapa RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Toad Suck Campground COE, Conway, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great little park. Sites are well laid out and quite a few are big rig friendly. The view of the river was great. The only reason I didn't give this park a 10 is there is no sewer connection and some road noise as it sits close to the highway. Most sites are paved with a concrete patio and covered picnic table. We will camp here again. We camped at Toad Suck Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Bullwinkle's Rustic Lodge's RV Park, Poplar Bluff, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Decent enough for an overnight stay. A lot of permanent trailers, but most are fairly well kept. Park is clean and maintained. Pull throughs available, sites are tight and close together. Close to main highway, some noise. We have a forty foot, fifth wheel and still managed to get in and out fairly easily. We would stay here again. We camped at Bullwinkle's Rustic Lodge's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Marion Campground & RV Park, Marion, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Good basic park for an overnight stay. The park was clean, well maintained, and the staff friendly. Sites were fairly level, but a little close together. Mostly pull throughs. Close to interstate, but noise not bad. Price reflects Good Sam discount. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Apple Valley Travel Park, Hendersonville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Quaint little park, and I do mean little. We have a 40 foot fifth wheel and we did get around, but it was tight. The site we were on was not very level side to side. The park is quiet, the staff friendly and helpful. You have paved roads and mostly gravel sites. Some have a concrete pad and picnic table. This is an excellent location. You are close to several historic towns and attractions. The major downside to this park: it is mostly comprised of older, permanent residences. Many are run down and unsightly. Having said that, we would stay here again. We would request a site on the lower level of the park. They are nearer to a busy street, but the sites are level pull-throughs and have easy street access. We had two nights at $26 due to Campclub discount. We camped at Apple Valley Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cane 9 Creek RV Park, Heflin, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We liked this park very much. It is a work in progress as the owners are continuing to make improvements. It is fairly quiet. Some road noise, but not bad at all. This is a great place for dogs. There is a small creek they can play in and the owners have set up an outdoor bath area to make clean up a breeze. Sites are fairly level and gravel. You are in the country. Larger grocery stores and shopping is about 20 to 30 minutes away. We stayed here 5 days and the rate reflects an average with a Passport America discount for the first two days. The only reason we gave it an 8 out of 10, the internet was up and down in terms of speed and connection and the on site laundry could have been a little cleaner. One last note, there is no cable and your antenna will most probably not pull in any channels. We had no problem setting up our TV dish. Overall a great little hideaway and we would stay here again. We camped at Cane 9 Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Benchmark RV Park, Meridian, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park in a country setting. There are a few commercial establishments close by, but nothing bothersome. Our rate reflects Passport America discount. Site was level and concrete. Grassy areas near by for the pups. Cable TV was excellent, but Wi-Fi was poor at certain times of the day and evening. Easy in and easy out. Only reason we gave it a lower rating was because they don't allow electric heaters. Still, we would stay here again. We camped at Benchmark RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pavilion RV Park, West Monroe, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Good overnight stop, but not a place I would want to stay long term. Your surroundings are far from scenic. Dog pound on one side and trucks on the other. There is fencing separating you from both. We have a big rig and had no problem getting in or out of our site. Our price reflects Passport America discount. I feel the park is overpriced for what is here and would not have stayed if not for the discount. We camped at Pavilion RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
