West Glacier KOA, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

A large park with all the luxuries, fabulous hot tubs and great pool, for instance. Amazing views from the park and the location is great. Only two complaints, first was that our site had railroad tie edging on the narrow driveway, so that one had to back in with extreme precision and that isn't so easy with a big fifth wheel! Our second complaint is more serious. We were there for a holiday weekend and when I tried to call management to report loud drunks in the next site, I couldn't reach anyone. With the park so full, they should have been on site. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Hideaway RV Campground, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A very small campground with RV's packed in tight, but the location is ideal and the folks who run the place are wonderful. Utilities & internet worked well. Bathrooms were not fancy, but very clean. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Devils Tower KOA, Devils Tower, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is an amazing location and there is a lot to love about this park, so I'd like to rate it higher. Unfortunately, the staff's habit of driving their golf carts through the park over and over and over at about 20 mph, with their little engines maxed out to screaming point, even at 6 on Sunday morning prevents me from giving the park a better rating. The kids loved the pool, the site was large & shady. I appreciated having a convenient laundry available, though the laundry room is rather shabby and seriously needed cleaning. We'd think twice about returning because of those infernal golf carts. We camped at Devils Tower KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely place and the owners were very kind and helpful. I was sad to see the beautiful pool not yet open for the year yet, although it was June 30. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Motorhome.

Riverhurst Park Campground, Olean, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Riverhurst is a beautiful park with well over 100 years of history. It is right on the Allegheny River with many sites right on the water. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The center of the park is full of grand old trees that we find to be a major attraction. There are also sites in the open, if you don't want to navigate through the trees. It's a terrific place for paddlers, since the river access is ideal. This is a small, family-owned place, so there isn't a lot of glitz, but it is clean, lovely and SUCH a bargain. We camped at Riverhurst Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Watkins Glen / Corning KOA, Watkins Glen, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

A well-maintained park with lots of amenities for the kids. Has a beautiful indoor pool and bounce pillow, a fishing pond and lovely creek. Unfortunately, the bounce pillow is only open a few hours one day a week except in the height of summer. But all the amenities in the world can't redeem a campground that has a difficult staff member at the front desk: which is unfortunately the case here. So, perhaps a little re-training is in order for her! Only one other criticism: the staff are the big violators of the speed limits in the park. Slow down and maybe put some more stone on the main roadway. It's getting VERY dusty! Even though I've made some negative remarks, we would probably go back. We camped at Watkins Glen / Corning KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Williamsburg KOA, Williamsburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here 3 times. This is a very good park. The pool is beautiful and very warm, kids enjoy the jumping pillow and the recumbent bikes. We all love the bald eagles nesting in the lower portion of the park - amazing! I would rate the park higher if it weren't for the rough sites we've had the last two visits. This time there was so much slope that we were unable to set up the kingpin stabilizer at all. In order to make the turn to exit the site, we had to take our rig out the side of the site rather than following the road (and our rig isn't terribly large). They need to do some work on the sites, I would say. Also, Wi-Fi is strangely slow. Other than these two criticisms, it's a marvelous park. We camped at Williamsburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
