Wolf Lodge Campground, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Due to all the rain, the place was a swamp. Half of laundry dryers were out of order, and it was $2 to wash and same to dry in small machines. Grounds and buildings in need of maintenance and upgrading. Overpriced, unless you like highway noise. Would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it. We camped at Wolf Lodge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Terry Bison Ranch Resort, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America. Site are not level. Staff is friendly and there is a herd of bison in the field beyond. Restaurant on site and lots of playground equipment. I think this would be a fun place in the summer, not April. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cherry Creek State Park, Aurora, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The pull-through sites were large, w/ concrete pad, patio, table and firepit. The grounds were spotless and the staff friendly. Lots of mule deer and rabbits. Close to everything. There is a day-use fee of $9, so consider annual pass. I would give this campground a 10 if the laundry construction was finished. We camped at Cherry Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Golden Terrace South RV Resort, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very tight sites (14'8" wide). Old c/g. Old, dirty permanent rigs in most of the sites. Dog walk was a 15x30 gravel lot. Warning signs to keep pets off the grass. Wi-Fi is not free. Staff was friendly and did not charge for dogs ($1 per day per dog). Close to Coors and Lookout Mtn. Would not stay here again. We camped at Golden Terrace South RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Amarillo Best Wonderland RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff. Wide sites. Many permanents in old rigs with lots of stuff around. Laundry is honor system and clean. Would rate much higher except for the roads. The posted 5 MPH speed limit is too high! Difficult to walk and even more difficult to drive. Be very careful with your fiver. We camped at Amarillo Best Wonderland RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Deer Creek Valley RV Park, Topeka, Kansas

Except for laundry (only 2 machines), this park would be a 10. HUGE, level concrete sites with plenty of grass. Spotless, well maintained grounds. Friendly staff. Great dog park. Easy access and wide concrete interior roads. Park is gated. We stayed for a week. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
