This is basically an RV parking lot with fairly level gravel sites offset by small posts and a few scattered picnic tables. It got us off the road for a night of rest. The Wi-Fi worked great!

Date of Stay:

We stayed here for two nights. The view from our rig is breathtaking. We're sitting nearly lakeside with a clear view across a large frozen lake. We stayed here very early in the season so the water was not available at the sites yet. The Wi-Fi access is very good. The food in the resort restaurant is good with ample portions and the place is very quiet. We'd be happy to stay here again.

This is a place to stop for a night to get off the road. The number of RV sites is actually 12 and with a "big rig", we took up "two" of their sites because the sites are very, very small. The electric hook-up is 110, 20A(?) with no 30A or 50A available. My low rating is mainly because of the loud sound of a generator or pump that is running in the building next to the RV parking area all night. The nightly rate is also high for this area with nothing to account for paying a higher price. The Wi-Fi was not in service yet at the time of our visit. The people running the park are very friendly!

We found out about this park from the Woodall's book and the directions given were a bit sketchy to us as we're unfamiliar with the roads and the road signs of Canada. In our confusion, we ended up driving our "big rig" right through the middle of downtown Saskatoon. While this doesn't affect my overall rating of the park, it is something that would affect my consideration of choosing to stay here as I find it rather scary to drive through a large city during rush hour traffic. Fortunately, the park and the staff here are well worth the effort if you're looking for a place to get off the road for more than a day. Each campsite is surrounded with bushes to give it a unique kind of privacy. We were here too early in the Spring to see the benefit of this arrangement, but it's clear that the sites are laid out for maximum privacy. There are no sewers, only a dump station on the way out and a service is available on weekdays to pump out your tanks for an extra fee if needed. I would definitely plan to stay here again if I'm ever in this area although I would plan my arrival more carefully the next time.

This is our second visit to this park. We stayed here for a week, the same time, last year. The pond at the rear of the property has been filled in for some other purpose (perhaps a garden or more lawn?) The concrete pads are level and adequate for our fifth wheel, but there isn't sufficient space for parking our pick-up. This is a basic, affordable place to get off the road for a while.

As the previous review noted, this is nothing more than a glorified RV parking lot. The hook-ups are "top of the line" and better than anything I've ever seen before. Everything is fully integrated into a fancy tower except the sewer connection which is built into the concrete "island". The entire parking area is in a mountainous area so many of the sites aren't level. However, during our stay there were plenty of sites available and as we were also inundated with lots of rain, the run-off was a benefit. One interesting feature (besides the nearby baseball stadium) was a hiking trail that was well-marked and clearly maintained that led down the back side of the mountain to the Cahaba River. It's well worth exploring. As the previous reviewer noted, this is a good place to stop to get off the road for one or two nights, but the price seems a little high to me.

We stopped here mainly to get off the road for a while and to re-evaluate our travel plans considering the weather. Didn't have a chance to check the reviews here first. BIG MISTAKE! The previous reviews summed up the condition of this place very accurately. The park is not being kept clean or maintained. It is packed with rigs and parked vehicles that infringe on the roadways. Traffic within the park is fast and noisy and goes on all the time. The sound of traffic on nearby I-75 is constant. We will not stop here again.

We spent two weeks at this park with a space that looked right out over the lake. The rate for one week was $110 (inclusive). On the other side of the lake was Hwy. 20, but the noise of traffic was barely audible. The spaces are narrow, but adequate and the grassy areas are all clean and well-maintained. When we called to make a reservation, we were warmly welcomed by a very friendly man. The office is not staffed for much of the day, but the phone was always answered promptly. The only reason that we didn't rate this park higher is the condition of the entrances from the main road and the main access road within the park. The asphalt approaches from the main road are steep and broken up with large potholes and jagged edges. This was not only a problem when bringing our Big Horn in and out, it was also annoying just driving in and out with our pick-up truck. Despite the problems with the entrances, we would happily stay here again and would recommend this park to our friends. We hope that they will be able to get this fixed before our next stay in AL.

This park is delightful. We stayed here for a week in a spot right next to the little fishing pond. There were geese, ducks, rabbits and a deer in a fenced in area near the pond. The concrete pads are level and the owners laid fresh gravel over the roads during our stay. The park is quiet, clean and has a very pleasant atmosphere. Each site has a picnic table and trash cans are accessible. We would stay here again.
