Date of Stay:

New Park 2016 along Restigouche River with club house and future restaurant later this year. Spacious sites and wide gravel pads. All sites have good vista of River with Appalachian Mtns. in background and sunsets are magical. Rate noted is Can$ and got one night free for every 6 paid nights. Easy access to CG from nearby Interprovincial Van Horne bridge as well as from Highway 11. Rules noted on website are normal. Reference to train noise was not a problem for us during the 2-week stay and for the most part are daytime. Boat launch ramp being installed to access River. Restigouche River has been a major salmon river and guided fishing is usually available. If you like hiking (several different levels of difficulty), Mtn biking, 4-wheeling and other outdoor events this is a good place from which to operate. Street biking opportunity is reasonably possible as most streets are wide enough with the exception of busy Roseberry St., but using the wise walkway along Riverside Drive you can avoid that busy area. River front walk to water park for kids or the City pool are fairly close. July and August gratis musical entertainment available within walking distance a couple of nights each week. We will definitely return.

Date of Stay:

First time stay in this close to highway campground, but noise not a factor. Had a pull-thru site due to no one in site behind. Basic 3-way services were very good, but no workable campground Wi-Fi (stated a recent storm put it out of commission) and Bell stick would not pickup any signal nor would cellphone. Cellphone on Dryden side of hill worked well. Will not likely return notwithstanding the friendly owner and staff. If you want to get away fro all communication then this is the place for you.

Date of Stay:

Older park with respectable roadways, but were dusty. Some minor potholes. Many seasonal units (workers) but relatively well maintained. Close to Trans-Canada highway but noise was not a big distractor. Close to City which makes it a desirable location for visiting points of interest in area. Would stay again.

Date of Stay:

Great location within the City along the Red Deer River and its extensive cycling /walking trails. Roadways and site pads are paved except for the east and west ends which are designed for smaller units. All services worked well. Security gate at entrance and pedestrian gate to trails. Two separate token operated laundry facilities are average but clean. A relatively quiet location even on weekends. Our preferred campground in area. Community fire pits.

Date of Stay:

CAN$50 per night. 3-way services were good to this pull thru site which was slopped back to front with evidence of water pooling suggesting need of gravel at this particular site. Most sites seemed fairly level in all directions. Roadways had speed bumps and filled pot holes; are mostly all one-way and direction for exiting could use some tree trimming at one turn. Staff friendly. Our site had a lot of scattered dog food and considerable dog hair as the result of grooming. Close to shops.

Date of Stay:

CAN$ 51 per night for a 3-way site that offered quality services. Wi-fi was great except for busy weekend. Bell stick worked then. Dry firewood. Our pull-thru site overlooked the River and tidal beach. Roadway was a little eroded in the non paved areas and some water puddles in some roadways. Very kid friendly with many amenities for them to enjoy. Good location to explore and not far from Charlottetown. Pet friendly. Would stay again.

Date of Stay:

CAN$ rate was $40 based on pay 6 get 7 nights. Had one of the five 3-way sites and these services were very good. Site was level side to side but sloped back from gravel roadway. Wi-fi was a limited show so used our Bell stick which worked fine. Staff very friendly and helpful. Children friendly. Some sites tight for big rigs. Good walking/biking trails and only 2 minute walk to cinemas. Lake beach for swimming and paddling. Easy access to shopping and poi's.

Date of Stay:

Paid CAN $ - do not know the US equivalent. Staff were efficient and friendly. Services were good. Not a lot of space between sites but adequate for awning extension. Only real issue here was the need to provide gravel to fill low spots in sites. Rain overnight left minnie lakes that had to walk through to get to truck. Would not hestitate to stay again.

Date of Stay:

Have stayed here several times and impressed with the progress the woner is gradually making in making this into a better facility. Paid CAN $. Do not know the US equivalent. Owner is friendly. Our pull-thru site was very side and long for our 40 foot 5th wheel. Services were good. Need to do a little more limb trimbing bit possible to avoid if you are careful. Fuel discount available for clients. Will stay again.

Date of Stay:

$42 CAN after discount. While road from main highway to park has some rough areas (our spedd did not result in furniture moving) the quiteness of the campground more than compensates. Had a fairly level pull-thru with good services. Setting by the river and opportunity to swim in river and take boat excursion makes this a nice get away even though we only stayed one night. Staff were efficinet and friendly. Owner is very interested in you enjoying your stay. Will return again for a longer stay.

Date of Stay:

Due to unavailable site in Red Deer were referred here as owner also involved in Red Deer park. This is one of the more quiet campgrounds we have encountered in 6 years of travel. Very well maintained by owner. Back-in sites are reasonably level and U-shaped drive way is very wide making for easy back-up. Serivces were very good. Wi-fi is at a fee but we used telecom stick. Right next to a golf course. Some seasonal sites but hard to tell as neatly maintained. Will return.

Date of Stay:

Pull-thru site was reasonably level, but tight to enter and depart. Services were good. Friendly staff. Park close to Interstate, but at lower level which helped somewhat with reducing noise. Would stay again.

Date of Stay:

Level pull-thru site with good services. Only negative was the power which occasionally showed low voltage range from time to time, but still above shut-off level. Was early season but would be interesting to see voltage in busy time. Staff were friendly. Have seasonals but they are for the most part separated from travelers. We would stay again.

Date of Stay:

Pull-thru site had significant slope back to front but level side to side. 3-way services were satisfactory. Early in season but lots of work required to get ready for peak time. No cable or aerial reception but open spaces should make for good satellite reception. Glacier Park not open yet so could not explore much of area.

Date of Stay:

Easy in and out for level pull-thru. Services were good. Young staff member at check-in not necessarily suited to hospitality industry unless someone provides some training. Would consider staying here again if in area.
