Date of Stay:

This was our first trip to Maine and I wanted the perfect campground. This was it. This is one of those rare privately owned parks that have the look and feel of a state park. The sites are spacious and the scenery beautiful. All types of sites available: shady, sunny, pull-through, tent sites. Knowing they do not take reservations, we traveled in early June to beat the rush and we had plenty of sites to chose from. Great location on Frenchman's Bay and close to all Bar Harbor attractions. We would stay again.

It is basically a parking lot but this campground is all about location. It is located only 5 blocks from the New Jersey PATH train that takes you right into New York City. The staff was very helpful and nice. We stayed here with our 4 children and felt very safe. We will definitely be back!
