Sterling State Park, Monroe, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled into this campground and drove right back out. I was excited about the proximity to home plus having a lake view site. To my surprise this "state park" was more like a parking lot. Once we found our site next to us was about 15 adults cursing and shouting with a mile high pile of wood. We immediately went to Harbor Town RV Resort and had the best trip of the summer. We camped at Sterling State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Holiday Park Campground, Traverse City, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We camped on site 18 which had a limited but nice view of lake. It was outstanding to wake up and see the beautiful lake from the bedside window of the camper. Had outstanding prices for renting row boats for the day. The only downside which was huge, was the tent worms. It would have been nice to be alerted of this prior to arriving. It was not the campgrounds fault these little caterpillars are common for the entire Traverse City area this time of year. They were everywhere. All and all we would definitely come back. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Four Seasons RV Park and Campground (formerly Valley Plaza Resort RV P, Midland, Michigan

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Unless you like a "resort" off of the expressway with a railroad track parallel don't come here! With two ghost town hotels attached and questionable campers, it was a total let down. Positives: pool, which I question the cleanliness. Pirate putt-putt which my kids loved. We made the best of it but it was definitely not worth the trip! We camped at Four Seasons RV Park and Campground (formerly Valley Plaza Resort RV P in a Travel Trailer.
