We were offered assistance with backing which we gladly accepted. Service was excellent and the grounds were beautiful and very clean. Lots of trees and grass. The sites were very close together but I didn't mind as I had a prime river spot. I may not stay again unless the river spots are available as the inner sites had very little privacy. There are a few residents and monthlys here but they keep their sites very clean. My truck didn't fit in the site with my 32' trailer and they don't want you parking diagonally unless you can fit no more than one tire on the grass. The front parking area was full so he let me keep my truck there. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
There is a boat ramp 7 miles east of the park and we tubed back to our site which took about 2.5 hours. There were about five small to medium rapids but the rest of the ride was very relaxing and fun. Take advantage of all the shopping with no Oregon sales tax.

We stayed three nights on this trip. We visit this KOA 1-2 times per year. The pull through sites are more level than the back-in sites along the fence. We had a back-in this time and were very happy with it. They feel more private than the pull through sites in the middle of the park. They have a morning honey wagon service for $7 although be warned they will charge you $20 if you try to do it the morning of. You can dump for free at the entrance on your way out. This KOA has the best amenities for kids of any I've been to. Pool, hot tub, mini golf, petting zoo, tire park, fishing pond, outdoor movies, ice cream social, splash park, and giant play structure to name some. We camped at Willits KOA in a Travel Trailer.
The Safeway at the intersection of Main St and Hwy 20 is the best place to get groceries and gas. The town of Ukiah, 20 miles away is the nearest bigger town to visit Walmart, Costco (opening soon), and a bigger selection of restaurants.

The staff at check-in and at the activities were very friendly and helpful. The park was very clean and well-maintained. The restrooms in the rear of the park were among the cleanest I've seen at an RV park. The bingo game and ice cream social were fun and free. There wasn't as much for kids to do at this KOA but the kids had fun at the river along the park. I wish the sites had more room or barriers between them but despite being a packed Memorial Day weekend, the crowds were quiet and respectful of the quiet hours. The sites appeared to all be very level. No fire pits were available although they let you bring your own. I had to park sideways to make space for my truck and 32' trailer. This park has easy access off of Highway 101. If the park is full and you have a larger rig, you may have problems parking in the main large pull-through lot without running over the grass and having to back in to correct it. We camped at Benbow KOA (formerly Benbow RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.
It's a very short walk to the shallow river which is fun for kids. It's not deep enough to swim. The historic Benbow Inn is also a very close walk and has a restaurant and bar.

We stayed for free as part of an offer when we purchased our trailer as long as we attended a presentation for their campground membership. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Upon arriving, they took us around in a golf cart to show us the property and let us choose our spot. The grounds were very clean and had good amenities. We didn't use the pool or other outdoor amenities as it was too cold and windy while we were there but they appeared to be in good condition. Some of the spots near the creek were really pretty and seemed quiet. We didn't stay there as it was fairly crowded in that area and they don't offer sewer hookups along the creek. We were near the office and really enjoyed our spot. No Verizon cell coverage was a minus as we had problems and couldn't call for help. They gladly let me use an office phone which was nice. We camped at Canyon Creek Resort in a Travel Trailer.
The nearby town of Winters has a decent little grocery store to stock up on supplies. The ACE Hardware there has a lot of camping supplies. Berryessa Brewing between Canyon Creek and the town of Winters is a really good brewery and worth a visit.
