Pirateland Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $82.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground, easily the largest I've ever stayed in, but it didn't seen congested. Stayed in a beach site, which was actually quite roomy compared to other places I've stayed. Out site had a wood shelter over the picnic table which was nice. Can be a challenge to get into the sites as there were a lot of trucks parked close to the road, but was doable. They had a nice pool, lazy river and splash/play area, also an indoor pool. Large camp store and laundry room, and a nice selection of food places on the guprounds. We camped at Pirateland Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Wytheville KOA, Wytheville, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park, and the staff is super friendly. We were in a pull thru site, and had plenty of room for our 42' fifth wheel and the truck.

There is a lot going on at this park, they had a nice pool with a water slide, a large game room, batting cages, and to top it off a 6 lane bowling alley. Felt the price was fair for all the amenities, actually cheaper than a lot of other KOA's we've stayed at. We camped at Wytheville KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Buckeye Lake / Columbus East KOA, Buckeye Lake, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

The park is nice with a lot of activities, including a car show the weekend we stayed. The employees all seemed very friendly, and polite. A little pricey, but about the same as other koa's. one thing that stuck me, they give you 1 wifi access code, which is good for 1 device, $4 each for any additional codes. For almost $80 a night you would think they could forego the wifi charge. We stayed in a pull thru delux patio site, which was very nice, had a nice patio with a swing and charcoal grill, plus a nice table and chair set. We camped at Buckeye Lake / Columbus East KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Brookville Mounds State Recreation Area, Brookville, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the full hook up sites, which are very nice, most have good shade, and a lot of room. This is a nice campground, with lots of sites, it has a well stocked camp store, and a boat ramp for the campground only. There is also a very nice beach, which is not really inside the campground area, but it is inside the Mounds area. It is a little far to walk to from the campground, but is a very short drive. This is one of our favorite places to camp. We camped at Brookville Mounds State Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Kentucky Lakes / Prizer Point KOA, Cadiz, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We camped in one of the premium sites, which have an awesome view of the lake. Our cable didn’t work at the site when we arrived, but the staff did get the problem corrected by our third night. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. The bathrooms were very clean. When making reservations, beware that you must pay for your whole stay at that time, and that there are no refunds in case of cancellation, only rescheduling in the same season. We camped at Kentucky Lakes / Prizer Point KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Grand Lake St Marys State Park, Saint Marys, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2005 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice state park, with lots to do. There is a boat ramp for the campers, and boat docks also. They have a putt-putt course, basketball and a sand volleyball court. They also have bike and canoe rentals. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. Most of the sites are large and roomy, with plenty of space between you and your neighbors. We camped at Grand Lake St Marys State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mohican State Park, Loudonville, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great family campground, with plenty to do for everyone. There is a stream/small river that flows through the park that is a blast to float down in a tube {which are available at the camp store for $13}. There is also an inground pool. The place was very clean, and the staff were friendly. I can't wait to go back again. The park fills up fast, and reservations should be made well in advance during the summer months. We camped at Mohican State Park in a Travel Trailer.
