Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is very nice, with a lot of open green areas. Our site was a little uneven, and the grass needed to be mowed. We did have a great shade tree. We have stayed here before and will stay again. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Silverwood RV Park and Campground, Athol, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was not level. The grass at our site and surrounding sites was overgrown and under the picnic table it appeared to never had been mowed. We had full hook ups and they did work. There are many portable bathrooms around. The campground was a big field they made into as many sites as possible, no trees or shade. We would not stay here again. We camped at Silverwood RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here after my father recommended it and we were not disappointed. This is a very large campground, and has a lot of open space between the different sections. We have young children and stayed at the Base Camp; the playground was large, pool area clean, and we had good Wi-Fi signal. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

West Glacier KOA, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

The site was large and grassy. The pool and hot tubs nice. This was one of the best KOA's we have stayed at. We had built in benches at the fire pit, and the playground was great. We did not use, but they serve meals at a main lodge. We did take advantage of the ice cream shop. The campground is off the main highway in a beautiful forest setting and very close to west entrance of Glacier park. We would stay here again. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Dick's RV Park, Great Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large campground that seems to be occupied primarily by those who live in RV's on a permanent basis. There were many park model trailers, large propane tanks, and trailers with skirting around the base. The store consisted of a vending machine. The picnic table was splintered and unusable. There were many small pieces of garbage in the somewhat green grass. I would never stay here again. The roads are wide, utilities worked, and our site was level. We camped at Dick's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch, Big Timber, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This was our fourth year staying at this campground, and we will return next year. The staff are friendly, the campground is next to the river, and the stocked ponds are great for fishing. This campground has a lot of grassy areas, which have always been well maintained. The rate does include an extra adult charge and a discount for Good Sam. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has a great location in town. There are many mature trees providing shade and the staff has always been very nice. We have driven to other local campgrounds, but continue to stay here year after year. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bear Canyon Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This campground overall is well maintained. The north facing back in sites have a great view. These sites and other perimeter sites have gravel on both sides with grass behind. The pull through sites are in the middle and very standard, strip of grass between the gravel drives, with your door facing the hook ups of your neighbor, including sewer. The pool was nice with a little slide, and laundry and bathrooms clean. Cons: our pull through site was not level, pool open to public until 6 pm which makes it very busy, and hear traffic noise of interstate and trains all day and night (including train horns). We camped at Bear Canyon Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch, Big Timber, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $34.00

This continues to be one of our favorite campgrounds in this area. The site was grassy, and they have stocked private ponds for fishing with no need for a fishing license. They have fishing poles if you need one and clean the fish after you catch them. We went with two little girls and they were able to catch their first fish! There is a little store on site and the restrooms were very clean. This was our third year visiting and we will go again next year. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is beautiful; with lots of grass. We were able to borrow a fishing pole and fish in the on-site pond. The playground consists of a swing-set and wooden merry-go-round. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Ponderosa Campground, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has a great location, close to many sights of Cody. The pull through site we had was very standard: small strip of grass and cement patio. I think the back-up sites to the river are some of the nicer spots. Our kids enjoyed the playground. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Falls KOA, Great Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

The campground amenities were very nice. Our children enjoyed the splash pool and playground. The store was well stocked and there was free firewood. The bathrooms were very clean. Navigating to the sites is very tight because the sites aren't very long, so trucks and trailers hang out into the road a little ways. We have a fifth wheel whose total length is just under 32 feet and a long-bed truck and we didn't fit in our site. When we went to our site we had to stop and ask someone to move their truck so we could get by. Unfortunately, while we were there a motor-home scraped a parked trailer, causing damage to both. There are bushes that separate the sites, which is nice for privacy, but doesn't leave room for much more than a picnic table. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice campground within walking distance of the hot springs. Our site was level and there is grass between sites. There is a convenience store and gas on site. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Fairmont RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch, Big Timber, Montana

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $33.00

This is a beautiful park. It is well maintained and has a nice staff. The sites are level and grassy. Be forewarned: if you leave around check-out time be prepared to wait to empty your tanks (If you opted for only water & electricity). But the wait is worth it for such a lovely park. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.
