Very nice campground with convenient access to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Very close access from I-64, yet situated in an area insulated from highway noise. Campground was easy to navigate with pull through sites. Most sites had concrete pads and grounds had mature trees to provide plenty of shade. Restrooms were clean and they were really nice with individual tiled showers. Several things for kids to do such as a pool and huge inflatable water slide. For those of you who put the importance of WiFi at the top of your camping list, the WiFi was free and reliable. With so many other campground choices, I'm not sure that I would pick this campground as a destination to just go camping. There is no lake, mini-golf, bike trails, etc. that might meet the criteria of a more complete campground experience; but it is a very good choice for a place to stay while visiting Williamsburg. We will be using our season passes to Busch Gardens more often now that we have found this place as we will definitely return.

My family and I were visiting the Asheville area and found this campground when planning our trip. This campground is about 30 minutes from Asheville and is in a remote area of Transylvania County. Pulling our 35' TT, we had no difficulties navigating the roads to the campground and we were greeted at the gate by the pleasant sight of campground security. With the help of the staff, we were personally guided to our site and they helped us navigate the tight campground roads with ease. The campground is wooded with gravel roads. There are two lakes: one for swimming only and one for boating and fishing. We were able to reserve a lakefront site that we enjoyed, we even had our own dock with our site. The camp store was well stocked and firewood was available for purchase. Canoe/kayak rental available or bring your own. The two bathhouses were dated and cleanliness was about average. Showers had good water pressure and hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful. The campground was peaceful and quiet in the evenings. We will definitely be camping here again.

Very nice campground that is very easy to access. Using certain routes, you can completely avoid the busy traffic of Kings highway. Park is conveniently located near area attractions including Barefoot Landing. Staff was friendly. Park is similar to other beach sites in that it has sites in the woods or near the beach. We had a site in the woods overlooking the on-site lake and the view was beautiful. Navigating through the sites in the woods was a little tight. Restrooms in the woods sites were dated and it was hard to judge cleanliness vs. what probably required repairs. They were just OK. Pool and lazy river were as nice as the area hotels. Fairly quiet campground as the golf cart traffic is limited to the CG residents. Plenty of things for the kids to do. We will definitely visit again.

Since this place is a time-share resort, it has been set up as such with lots of space and a ton of activities. There is no resort membership required to camp, however, there are certain RV requirements (no pop-ups or truck campers permitted for example). We stayed in the newer section of the campground with concrete pads. They were nice and clean. The sites come with Adirondack-style furniture, gas grill, fire ring and outdoor sink. One thing that isn't mentioned on the resort's website is that the end sites have covered hot-tubs and concrete fire rings with seating around the ring...very nice. The gated community had good security. If the cleanliness of this resort's bathhouses were every campground's standard, the hotel business would be hurtin' The campground was very quiet at night to listen to the crickets and the crackle of the campfire. There were multiple swimming pools, hot tubs and game rooms. The general store on site was well stocked and had a nice snack bar. The restaurant on site was also nice. Laundry was free. Wifi internet was not free and not reliable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The 60 acre lake was beautiful and full of fish. You can rent canoes/kayaks or a pontoon boat or you can bring your own watercraft. This place even has a four mile horse trail...horses available at the resort...or BYOH. We will definitely be staying here again and very soon.

Park was easy to find and not very far from interstate 81. Park was spacious with plenty of treed sites and the park was very well manicured and fairly clean. Park was easy to navigate with Travel Trailer. The Staff was courteous. For sites without sewer connection, you could pay $5 per day to have the staff clean out with pump truck. Park was packed during our stay, but because it is so spacious, we did not feel crowded at all. Beautiful waterfall on the river with an even prettier giant home-made "STOP no trespassing" sign near the top...LoL Decent fishing as I caught Small mouth bass, rock bass and stocked rainbow trout in the river. Fishing lake is small and good for the kiddies and full of trout and bass. Playground equipment was a little shaky. My main concerns were with the bathrooms/showers...they were quite a distance from the the lower half of the campground and they were not very clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we will visit again.
