Del-Raton RV Park, Delray Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects monthly with electric metered. Stayed here Dec.

and Jan. The park is in metro area between two busy car dealerships that are noisy and lit up and has a busy train track on the west side. After check in, we asked about using the restrooms and showers and the owner informed us that we must come during office hours to get key!!! She said "we only rent to self contained units". WiFi did not work well as park got busy. The laundry is reasonable but was not cleaned while we were there. Trailer and propane sales are a big part of business thus trailers are parked on every available site and around the perimeter of the park making it feel like you are staying in a car lot. The plus is that they are 1.5 miles to beach and is gated with partial fencing. We think you can do better than this park. We feel that you could find a better place to stay. We camped at Del-Raton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Love this park. Stayed 2 nights. Restrooms were closed so used my own. Electric at site. Fill tank from hydrant and dump on way out. Lots of wildlife. Great sites. Not many RV parks open this time of year. Only problem is too many cares driving through. We camped at Ledges State Park in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here again on way home. It is still one of the best parks anywhere. The restrooms are the best we have seen. The laundry is very reasonable. The owners helpful and friendly and always seem to be doing some type of upgrade. The Wi-Fi works great and cable has 60 plus channels. Love Wall Drug and it is less than 2 blocks. Badlands national park and Minute-man Missile site a short drive. Will be back for sure!!! We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed 6 nights. Back again on our way north. Very reasonable. Only RV in the park. Some tenters if you can believe that!! Open year round. There is water to fill tanks and dump station along with electricity. Park is great for humans and our dog loves it, too. Will be back. We camped at Ledges State Park in a Motorhome.

Deer Creek RV Golf Resort, Davenport, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $720.00
Overall Rating:

Price is monthly with tax. Stayed here for 2 months. Park is clean and safe. No WiFi. Cable TV is a joke: 20 channels mostly local. All but 2 you can get with antenna. No news channel, weather, financial (but you get BET). Showers clean but water was always cold. Pool was nice. Golf carts running all over. Wouldn't hurt some of these people to walk. Most sites are privately owned, we rented from park. First site they gave us was next to camper being torn down and removed. Had junk in our yard, after a week they moved us to better site. People walk dogs(hauling on golf cart) just outside park and many don't pick up. Torn with rating, but if they are going to rent out sites they need to accommodate with WiFi, cable TV and hot water. Will not stay here again. We camped at Deer Creek RV Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Wind Creek State Park, Alexander City, Alabama

Date of Stay: December, 2010 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Just an okay state park. If you want to stay in the New York City of campgrounds stay here. 642 sites. Registered about 4:30 and had to do night registration. Instead of having the price you have to figure the cost and calculate the sales tax. The state has to be making a fortune off these off prices during the season. They have coded security gates trying to keep out non paying guests. No pull through sites. Would probably NOT stay here again. We camped at Wind Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Hollywood Casino Hotel & RV Park, Robinsonville, Mississippi

Date of Stay: December, 2010 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Very reasonable off season rate. Stayed here for 8 nights. Enjoyed it. Wi-fi is good,; only 18 channels on cable. Sites are level and concrete. Not much grass. It is next to casino and the lights are bright!! Would wake up in night and thought it was daytime. Quiet and safe. Laundry reasonable. You get use of indoor pool, fitness room ,and hot tub, but they are not convenient to the park. Would stay here again. We camped at Hollywood Casino Hotel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

T. O. Fuller State Park, Memphis, Tennessee

Date of Stay: December, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

One night stay. Nice looking park but the surrounding area is very depressed. Didn't feel real comfortable here. Park did have nice showers and laundry which is rare in state park. Good hookups. Outside smelled of sewage or something. Probably won't stay here again. We camped at T. O. Fuller State Park in a Motorhome.

Missouri State Fair Campground, Sedalia, Missouri

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Way over priced. $19 for only electric? We only stayed for one night. I questioned the attendant on price since everything was shut off but to no avail. Too late to go on. No place even to fill water tank. The campground is connected to the state fairgrounds, was lit up like daytime and the factory across the street vibrated our camper all night. Will NOT stay here again. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Ozark Country Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Great RV Park. Stayed for 8 nights and enjoyed it. Park itself is nice but the area you pass thru to get to the park needs a cleanup. Good Wi-Fi, and cable which we needed after roughing it in the state parks for the last month. Cost only $3 more than the Table Rock state park and it was worth it. Owners are friendly and very helpful. Lots to do in Branson even in November and December. Would highly recommend. We camped at Ozark Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Honey Creek State Park, Moravia, Iowa

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Be aware that there are 2 RV parks in Honey Creek. One gives you access to the resort, costs $47 a night and sites are on concrete. The one we stayed is in the park and is $16 off season for full hookup and shower house. It was great! Most nights we were only ones there. Keep in mind this was November. Wild turkeys and deer were right on our site. The only draw back is the nearest town to do laundry, buy groceries or eat out is 20 miles. We were here for 2 weeks. Will be back. We camped at Honey Creek State Park in a Motorhome.
