Paradise By The Sea RV Resort, Oceanside, California

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice smaller park with a very friendly staff. We were there in August and it was mostly families. We enjoyed watching the kids ride their bikes. The travelers staying in the park were very quiet. There is a train that goes by fairly often, but it didn't bother us. It is a very short walk to the beach--about 4 minutes. Nice pool, small store and a nice game room. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Its a little pricey in the summer, but everything in California is, even some state parks are $65 a night for full hookups. We camped at Paradise By The Sea RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best parks we have stayed at. The area is beautiful, the staff is friendly, hiking is just across the street, and the fishing is great. Bathroom/shower facilities are spotless, nice store with goods fishing tackle licenses, etc. On Saturday mornings they have great fresh baked cinnamon rolls. We had such a good time we already made our reservation for next year. We camped at Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mustang Island State Park, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a basic campground right on the Gulf of Mexico. The campground is a basic parking lot with picnic table and shade cover. The showers are clean but rather old, same with the bathrooms. Nice and quite and very good fishing on the beach, you can drive right out on the beach. Had a great time, very nice area, very nice park personnel. Would definitely stay here again. Make sure you have mosquito repellent. We camped at Mustang Island State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Campland On The Bay, San Diego, California

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

I can't say this is the best place I've stayed, but in all fairness to the park they do a good job keeping the place clean and providing a lot of activities. The beach and pool is nice and our site was fine, if a little tight. The downside of this place is that it is very crowded and kind of a rough crowd. We kept a close eye on our grandson, but most of the people there paid no attention to what their kids were doing creating a dangerous situation. The park seems to take it as whatever will be will be and really don't enforce any rules. We will not go back in the summer but may try it again in fall or spring. The location is great and the fireworks at night from sea world are fun, just a shaky crowd. We camped at Campland On The Bay in a Travel Trailer.

Queen Mine RV Park, Bisbee, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful small park right on the edge of historic Bisbee. The staff was just wonderful, helping us find great restaurants, shops etc. The park is very organized, the showers/bathrooms just spotless. Try the Bisbee Breakfast Club for breakfast, it is wonderful. The town is full of great artist shops, and a wonderful chocolate shop. This is really a great place to visit. We camped at Queen Mine RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful campground in an amazing National monument, the rest rooms are clean, no electric or water hookups but the scenery is spectacular. Mostly smaller campers no big rigs would fit. We camped at Bonita Canyon Campground, Chiricahua Natl Mon in a Travel Trailer.

Wupperman Campground, Lake City, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a bare bones campground run by the Hinsdale county just outside of Lake City on beautiful Lake San Cristobal. We camped here for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. We caught trout everyday and had a great spot on the Lake. There is water to fill your camper and a dump station, and a very friendly camp host who are just the best. This is a beautiful part of Colorado the lake is located along the Alpine loop, and Lake City is a nice little mountain town. There is a great bakery on the way into town, and if you like fudge they make it homemade at the Sportsman's outdoor shop. Lake City is a bit of a challenge to get to but really worth the drive. The campground has spots right on the lake, or on a bluff overlooking the lake. We camped at Wupperman Campground in a Travel Trailer.

4J+1+1 RV Park & Campground, Ouray, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park, right in the middle of Ouray; you can walk to the Hot Springs Pool, or anywhere in town. We had a great back-in site on the river and enjoyed listening to the river roll by. The staff was friendly and the park is very clean. This corner of Colorado is one of the most beautiful areas we have visited. Ouray has great restaurants, nice shops and very friendly people. We took a wonderful hike up to the Alpine mine overlook, about 5.5 miles roundtrip: saw a bear, elk and beautiful forest. The park was busy, but quiet with mostly families having a great time. We camped at 4J+1+1 RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here going to and coming from Colorado, and I have to say they have a very nice park here. The staff is very friendly, with a nice pool, play area for the kids and a country singer who plays until 8:30 pm. They have a BBQ dinner if you wish and a ice cream social each evening. I don't if there is much to do around Gallup, but for an overnight stop, this works great. All pull through sites, so you can stay hitched. It is quiet and very clean. We will stop here again. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
