Rip Van Winkle Campground, Saugerties, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here twice over a 2 week span. Fantastic stays.

This place is great if you like woodsy, rustic campgrounds. This may be our favorite of all time, and the office staff was very nice and helpful also. Fantastic place to walk the dogs and really feel like you're camping in the woods. Looks like it would it would be fun with the kids, too. We camped at Rip Van Winkle Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rest N' Nest Campground, East Thetford, Vermont

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Decent campground but over Labor Day it was a bit crowded. (Obviously to be expected) not as pretty a place as we were hoping in that location, and then due to family medical emergency, we were forced to leave 4 days early. No offer of any refund!! I didn't ask for one but gave them the chance to do the right thing. Because of this we will not return. We camped at Rest N' Nest Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Hagerstown / Antietam Battlefield KOA, Williamsport, Maryland

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The campground itself was fine. Clean and well kept, the reason for the lower review was due to the long term residents we met there. Our "neighbor" identified himself as a person with mental issues, and he was working them out while staying there! We also met a worker in the evening (dark) who was clearly drunk and followed us while we were working our dogs. This may be ok for some, but it made us uncomfortable. We camped at Hagerstown / Antietam Battlefield KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Wilmington KOA, Wilmington, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Compared to the other campgrounds we visited closer to Topsail, this was worth the extra drive. The staff was fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They even supplied free lunch to the whole campground one day!!! We needed a vet on a Saturday and they dropped what they were doing to help us. The grounds are really nice, and like many KOA's, you do get what you pay for. We are ready to book again for next year. We camped at Wilmington KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Parnell Creek RV Park, Woodville, Alabama

We dropped in on this little gem. We really loved staying here, the only points off were for the highway noise and the sites are a little close. The owners are doing a great job on this place and we will be back for sure. We camped at Parnell Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bald Mountain Camping Resort, Hiawassee, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great RV resort. We were here before the pool opened, but the playground and lake kept the kids busy. The only reason I didn't give this resort a 10 is the showers could have been a bit cleaner. Now in fairness, the park was not crowded at all and it was still very early in their season. We will be back for sure during the summer. We camped at Bald Mountain Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

4 Paws Kingdom Campground and Dog Retreat, Rutherfordton, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first trip to this campground. The owners were FANTASTIC, even during a busy Holiday weekend. What a fun place to bring your dogs (which we did). There were plenty of activites for the humans and their pets icluding a couple of special dinners. We reserved the premium site which gave us a fenced in deck, which was well worth it having 3 dogs with us. We will be back. We camped at 4 Paws Kingdom Campground and Dog Retreat in a Travel Trailer.
