Billings KOA, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Yes, there are plenty of mature trees -- all cottonwoods, all flowing right now. Even going for a walk is unpleasant, and you can't have open windows. If you have allergies, this is not a good time to come here. The park isn't bad, but I've seen nothing yet that makes it worth $52 a night for just electric water and Wi-Fi. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

Interlake RV Park, Rhinebeck, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The lanes are VERY tight and trees crowd them, so our roof and sides got brushed a few times. I would only add to the other comments that you need to be wary of trusting your GPS when traveling north to Rhinebeck from PA. Our GPS took us to the Taconic State Pkwy, which turns out to be for passenger cars only. EXCLUDE that route on your GPS or you will have many useless miles to recover from. We camped at Interlake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Terrific location, good staff, sites all the way at the end of the park are least crowded. We were in site 61, backed up to trees, very nice. We used the Mobile RV repair service listed in the park's brochure. They're fast and good but very pricey. Each service call is $75 even if it's 10 minutes and they know they're coming back for other tasks they couldn't complete with that visit. Just make sure you get clear with them what their service is going to cost, or you may be unpleasantly shocked when they hand you the bill. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Glendale Campground, Elizabethtown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

They have cable in name only -- the picture and sound quality are not adequate for actually watching a broadcast. This is an OK campground, but pretty basic and rustic, sites are crammed very close together, and the very narrow sites are covered with huge stones. The laundry room was disgusting. We wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Motorhome.

Louisville South KOA, Shepherdsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We were told there is NO cable anywhere in the park despite the claim in Trailer Life to the contrary, and we were given a site under trees so could not use our satellite either. Our site was uphill and impossible to level on. Sites are small and quite close together. Definitely not worth the high cost; we would not stay here. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

E & J R.V. Park (aka Days Inn Ellensburg RV Park), Ellensburg, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We were allowed to pull through a 2-site spot so that we didn't have to unhook. Park is Plain Jane, but our site was paved and level. Flying J is next door for gas and propane, and the park is conveniently right off I-90 but we heard very little traffic (or other) noise. Great for one or two nights, it's not a destination park. We camped at E & J R.V. Park (aka Days Inn Ellensburg RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Point Hudson Resort & Marina, Port Townsend, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I would rate it a 10 for the waterfront and convenience to downtown. Maybe a 2 for the potholed roads and inconvenient hookups. Our sewer hookup was buried in tall weeds and was so high I always had to "walk" the contents out of the hose. We paid extra for the "premium" site which turned out to be 30 amps and at the end of the line for power. Even at midnight, we were reading less than 110 volts, during the day it would dip alarmingly as far as 94. The office staff were like, "Oh, well." But it was Memorial Day weekend in a popular place, so we were stuck. We drove by Fort Worden and realized we'd have been better off going there, which we will next time. We camped at Point Hudson Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

Gilgal Oasis RV Park, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are close together, so it's very "cozy" but very nice overall for a few days stay. It is walking distance to the downtown area, with shops and eateries. A longer walk would bring you to a marvelous little restaurant, the Oak Table Cafe, which has excellent breakfasts and lunches, all fresh ingredients, beautifully prepared and served, in a lovely building. We have always found the Gilgal hosts helpful and friendly, and they keep the park spotless, including the very nice bathrooms and showers. We camped at Gilgal Oasis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Desert View RV Resort, Needles, California

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The hosts were courteous and helpful, guiding us to our site and assisting with parking, and registered us on the site. Cash/checks only. The gravel sites are very pretty and quite deep. We were able to pull through without unhooking for our overnight stay. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Desert View RV Resort in a Motorhome.
