Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here overnight on our way home. Found it be very comfortable with wide, long pull throughs and no problems with hook-ups. Since it's on a hill and away from town, we experienced absolutely spectacular sunsets and night skies. Well worth the stay, and we will come back! We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Good overnight stop and typical New Mexico desert campground. At 38 feet, we had to be careful as roads are a little narrow, and sites are on the short side. The food from the on-site restaurant was was fairly good. However, what we really enjoyed was the convenience of delivery to our door. We will definitely stay here again on our way to Albuquerque or Santa Fe. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sky Mountain Resort RV Park, Chama, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this resort so much that we extended our stay for three more days. It is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. Sites are fairly level with good hookups, especially for motorhomes. If you're staying on the river in a 5th Wheel, be sure to take power, water and sewer extensions if you want to back in. Those sites were built for motorcoaches to pull in and back out. Another plus is a very nice laundry facility and great camp hosts. We've already reserved for month next summer. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park), Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. Since it is in the middle of Santa Fe, it has no view to speak of. We are careful, responsible pet owners and found their "no pets on the grass" policy to be so irritating that we probably won't stay here again. The dog walk at the front of the park is a poor little narrow patch of dirt. Our campsite was shady, cool, and grassy, and our little dog was not allowed to sit outside with us in the evening. We camped at Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Amarillo RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent RV resort that fills up quickly so reservations are good idea. We selected based on earlier reviews and found everything as reported: excellent! We particularly liked the laundry facilities located in two spots for easy access. Each was very clean and offered several washers and dryers. Another plus is the beautiful indoor swimming pool. We camped at Fort Amarillo RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Tonkawa Springs RV Park, Garrison, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this park! Has beautiful trees and nature trail. As stated in earlier reviews, park has exotic deer, nice rally area and rally room, and a good mix of long and short term campers. Site was level; however, sugar sand really tracks into the unit. Camp hosts were extremely helpful and friendly to "newbie" RV'ers like us. We camped at Camp Tonkawa Springs RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
