Flintlock Campground, Boone, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

rate based on $197 for 7 days. 1st the good. Excellent service from staff, very friendly and helpful, outstanding! Lots of shade and a great stream running through the camp. Restrooms were great. The not so good. Tight spots. I only bought my 20' rig with no slide and there was no extra room. The cable TV system was out the 1980's. You had to have a box for each TV, but the staff warned me it was hit and miss. But the service from the staff made this family owned park all worth it. If you are coming get a river front site, we will be back. We camped at Flintlock Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $126.00
Overall Rating:

Great place, Disney knows how to put on a good show, everything is 1st class. The price is very high on everything, but it's Disney. Everyone should come here once. If they just could get WiFi in every site no questions asked, no special devices, just get WiFi, the rating would be higher. At this price it should not be an issue. Still everyone needs to experience this place, just don't look for bargains. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Some older posts about restrooms, and how far they are from some sites are correct, but most units you pull in these places have showers and toilets. This place is great, very large sites. I bring a 30' camper, and a 22' boat. no problem, lots of extra room. Great pool and hot tub. Fifteen minutes to boat ramp. One of my favorites. Go there you will not regret it. We camped at Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $110.00
Overall Rating:

This place continues to set the standard, regardless of price. The transportation system is fantastic. Spotless restrooms and showers 24/7. But come on: this is Disney, get some WiFi. I stay in places for $18 a night that has better WiFi. Still you must see this place, it's great for families. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lucky Charm RV Park, Old Town, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The good and the bad. New park, not as shady as you may think; all the trees are trimmed very high, letting morning and afternoon sun in. Very nice owners, and spotless bathrooms and showers. They don't heat the pool; says " it costs to much". They only heat the hot tub when requested to. In previous reviews it says family friendly, but we were told it is adults only when we said we may come back with our grandkids. Please explain how that is family friendly. Maybe 20% full in winter. It looks like they need another year. Probably won't come back. We camped at Lucky Charm RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Original Suwannee River Campground, Old Town, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The last review is correct. Office stunk of cigarettes. To many junky old units. It's a bad trailer park, stay away. People stare at you like you are invading their home. Very bad. We camped at The Original Suwannee River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park, Crystal River, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects passport america rate for 3 nights. This is a great park with very large sites, wooded with tons of shade. If a parking lot with hook ups is your thing, don't come here. If friendly people of all age groups, and a great staff is what you want, than this is your place. We had a breaker out in our power hook up, and we told the office, and it was fixed in 15 minutes by a friendly and smartly dressed maintenance staff person. Great pool and spa, a playground for my grandkids and a dog run. The list goes on and on. Don't miss this place! We camped at Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tropical Palms Resort and Campground, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The staff here was over-the-top helpful. There were great activities for our grandchildren. Wonderful pool area with food & drink available. Very clean everywhere. Wonderful landscaping done to the max. I would love to see a hot tub like their sister resort Sun n Fun in Sarasota has. Price reflects a discount coupon they sent us, but we will come back and pay full price anytime. Great spot to base your Orlando visit from. They had some really cool cottages for rent there as well. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The only reason it does not get a 10 is WiFi havs been down for some time now, and we were told it would be back up while we were there, no dice. But it was actually nice to be internet free for a few days. Great place, you can keep your boat in your site with you, plenty of room. Great pool and hot tub. Very quiet & and great for kids. With Passport America it was less than $20 a night. We camped at Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Murphy/Peace Valley KOA , Marble, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The best part about this KOA is the owner, and staff. Excellent is too low a rating. Just the best. Beautiful little river flows through property, and you can take a short tube ride if you want. Beautiful grounds, lots of stuff for my grandkids to do. Very clean pool.I usually only give Disney a 10, this place was great. If they were to put a hot tub in, the 10's would fall from that beautiful North Carolina sky. We stayed for 6 nights. Don't miss this place. We camped at Murphy/Peace Valley KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Sun-N-Fun RV Resort, Sarasota, Florida

Only Disney gets a 10, but this place is a 9.8 for sure. It is huge and we came during peak season, and they was no issues at all. Great pool and hot tub area, with food and drink. Great new indoor pool for adults, with gym and steam room. Don't miss this place. We camped at Sun-N-Fun RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
