Cripple Creek KOA (formerly Cripple Creek / Colorado Springs W. KOA), Cripple Creek, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Glad we had GPS. A little difficult to find. I was worried about staying here based on reviews. Yes it is a dirt road up to the park, but pretty level. Sites are terraced and a little tight. We were able to manage ok with our 36 foot MH. Our site was level but the side was very uneven. We had trouble sitting in a lawn chair. The views were great and made up for alot of kinor inconveniences. The dog park is nice but scattered with droppingss from inconsiderate owners.

Staff is very nice and accomidating. We were pleasently surprised with this campground. Only issue was the altitude. It is just over 10000 feet and we had some trouble breathing (not their fault). We will stay here again. We camped at Cripple Creek KOA (formerly Cripple Creek / Colorado Springs W. KOA) in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park of the Black Canyon, Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Like others have said, very basic, no frills rv park. Sites are uneven and leveling took some time. We were put in an area very far away from anything. After awhile it appeared all pet owners were in this are which is ok.

What irritated me most was the check in. The employee read all the rules line by line and had me sign at the bottom. Felt like I was in 3rd grade again. To make it worse, her husband drove up the next morning and handed us some rules about the speed limit again. When advised we had the briefing, he smiled and blamed the rules on the park owners who were in the park that same time. Not a problem, just demeaning.

The best part of the park wss the location. We were minutes from area attractions. Probably will not stay here again. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park of the Black Canyon in a Motorhome.

Village of Trees RV Resort, Declo, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We were looking a overnight stop. What a pleasant find. Very spacious sites and the area was pretty quiet even with the freeway close. We were able to order some food from the grill and have it delivered to our site. Staff was attentive and made sure we were set up with no issues. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Village of Trees RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Steamboat Springs KOA, Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

I have read past reviews with mixed results. They are working hard to make improvements. The sites near ours need some tlc but overall it is a decent park. Downside is it is pretty expensive but you can't beat the location. The staff was the hardest working group we have seen in a long time. We will stay here again. We camped at Steamboat Springs KOA in a Motorhome.

So many things to do. There is a long walkway along the river, mountain biking in summer and you must take the tram to the top of Steamboat mountain. Lunch was a little pricey at the top but good.

Mountain Valley RV Resort, Heber City, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best parks we have ever stayed at. Beautiful well kept sites make for anjoyable stay. The view out our window was spectacular looking at the Wasatch mountains.

We showed up and found I messed up the reservation. It was a holiday so they were packed. They found us a dry camp site (had water) that worked well. Too bad this so far from home as we would be here often. We camped at Mountain Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Canyon Springs RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We were excited to see this park. It is a holiday weekend so very full.

BE AWARE: This park is so new most GPS units will take you to a gravel pit across the pond. We unhooked and could see the park from our side bur across the freeway. Take exit 26 for hwy 20 wb and you will find the park.

Staff are paving sites and the park is really looking nice. We felt under dressed going into the club house. Very friendly and helpful staff and nice wide sites with a concrete patio.

Only negative is not their fault with gps. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Canyon Springs RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Puyallup Fair Grounds, Puyallup, Washington

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Had a relative in a nearby hospital, making this location very convient. As stated before, ground is soft when rains hit, but the camp host showed me a good spot. Nothing special about the park, but well suited for area travels. Weather turned very cold while there, causing water problems, but worked though it. Site can get very close but there were about 10 rvs on site, so plenty of room. We camped at Puyallup Fair Grounds in a Motorhome.

Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff, California

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Every vacation we find a hidden gem. This park was the gem. We splurged after a long day and called on short notice. Got a fountain pull in site. A little pricey but very nice. Park is beautiful and we'll kept.

Staff very nice and helpful except one disgruntled grounds keeper who felt he needed to vent to me...weird.

We plan to return here often. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We reserved a deluxe site for $56.00. Stayed thur, fri, sat. Site went to $75.00 for the weekend. Site is huge but dirt. It worked ok but I felt it was very over priced.

Park is huge with lots of activities for kids. Nice spot for day trips. We camped at Tahoe Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Used this park as a short stay. Very nice park and we were lucky to get a shaded site since it was 106. The park was under new ownership as of 2 days before we arrived. The staff told us about improvements under way and they were busy adding more sites. This park promises to go from awesome to fantastic. We would definately stay here again if in the area. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Promised a nice site with the best view in the park. Turned out to be a tight spot looking at houses and some hills. Did have great neighbors and the staff was nice to deal with. Overpriced for what you get but it is in a very stratigic location. Probably will not stay here again. We camped at Teton Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here as a stop over. We found the staff very helpful. Sites are gravel and level. We had to do some computer work for our son and the owner assisted with a smile. We are impressed with their customer service. Not much here but a great stop over. We camped at Countryside RV Park, LLC in a Fifth Wheel.

Kah-Nee-Ta Resort & Spa, Warm Springs, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

What a nice family park. We camped in the first section (15) and enjoyed at least partial shade most of the day. Large lawn behind site made for a very comfortable stay except for the heat (not their fault). Only marks off a very nice stay is that the road is narrow. It took a little skill to get into the site. Once in, it is wide and clean although gravel. would definitely stay here again. Oh the pool is great and admission is included for all in your party for your entire stay. We camped at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort & Spa in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This a very clean and tidy park. We stayed here on our rpi card. Found they have very strict pet policies but we made it work. Very impressed they had a pedestrian crossing bridge which led to a huge city park. Our dag could run and swim without any isues. Problem was that they put on a site right against the freeway. So noisy we had trouble sleeping. We camped at Sunrise Resorts-Pier Four in a Fifth Wheel.
