San Angelo KOA, San Angelo, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for the 4th time for 19 days. We are vendors and attend the Stockshow and Rodeo every year. One call, they remember who we are and try their best to fill our request to be close to the front and bathrooms. Cleanest and nicest park! Managers and owners are all working hard daily to make improvements but those are above board in my opinion. They deliver daily paper and pick up trash on site. We stayed in our truck camper after setting it off the truck...used it to go back and forth to rodeo grounds. They have access to wonderful walking "trail" (it's a road) but locals love it! The sites are all they should be...level, clean, have tables, some grass, ok spacing and ease of all connections. The store is great; foods, ice, ice cream! and again, the nicest staff ever!!! I saw the nice dog park but don't have pets. The restrooms (a very big deal to me) are always clean with the exception of the busloads of stockshow kids who stay in a cabin for 1-2 nights....kids have no respect for the property or anyone else who may use it. The staff gets to the cleaning as quickly as the kids leave. I have no negatives...wifi is good and even the noise from planes-in the flight path on some days, does not bother me. I would recommend to anyone! We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Truck Camper.

Drifters Resort, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed at this park for one week and would have loved to stay a lot longer!! The nicest RV park I have ever stayed at. The managers and staff, super nice!!! They fulfilled our request for a place to leave our mobile photography studio trailer with no issues....sometimes it IS a pain but not here!! There is no restaurant but the hamburger stand they run out front is beyond awesome! Loaded with trees but still easy to maneuver and green grass on all the sites we saw. As we have a very small rig, my request to be placed close to bathrooms was not a problem. Laundry was nice and clean. They have a pool and an exercise room with the most amazing equipment...nothing cheap or broken down here! We camped at Drifters Resort in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Charlotte Plummer's Restaurant-Family eatery where the food is fresh and always delicious! ($-$$) As campers know, a good grocery store is always a plus....I love our HEB!!! For the best fishing supplies and appropriate clothing to remain comfy in the humidity, check out Tackle Town!!! Rockport Beach is not like all the other beaches you've been to...find out why! Don't forget to make a trip across the bay from Aransas Pass to Port Aransas...by ferry!!!
