Lake Wenatchee State Park, Leavenworth, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent campground to camp in during August. Any earlier and you will be camping with lots of mosquitoes. We camped at the north side of the park, which is where the RV utility sites are. This side is also much quieter than the south side which we checked out earlier. We stayed in site 126, which is adjacent to a trail that leads down to the lake. Because of the fires though, no campfires or barbecuing with charcoal briquettes was allowed, however you are allowed to use those disposable propane campfire canisters, since they do not emit any embers. All a great place to camp. We camped at Lake Wenatchee State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Alder Lake Park, Eatonville, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $27.00

Awesome park. The Park is very well laid out, and has that campground feel to it. Its kept clean and there is plenty of space for bike riding and hiking. The swimming area by the lake is inviting and has picnic areas as well. A great place to take the family and also camp with friends. We camped at Alder Lake Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ginkgo Petrified Forest / Wanapum State Park, Vantage, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We had a spectacular view of the Columbia River. We arrived late in the morning. It was a beautiful warm day. After we setup camp, we headed down to the beach where our two young girls happily played in the water, and made sand castles, while my wife and I relaxed on the sand. We returned to our site in the late afternoon. Then the wind picked up and never ever let up for the next 3 days. I think this particular site catches the wind unlike the other ones. I thought OK, it has to calm down eventually, but after 3 days of enduring sustained winds we gave up and left a day sooner than we planned. We camped at Ginkgo Petrified Forest / Wanapum State Park in a Travel Trailer.
